Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie is frustrated to no end by former President Donald J. Trump’s skipping of the GOP primary debates and said that he may soon resort to stalking the 2024 frontrunner.
The former New Jersey Governor showed up on Sunday morning television again, this week on Fox News where he spewed his usual heavy dose of vitriol at his former political ally along with unveiling his new idea to confront the former president.
After an extended rant about Trump and the January 6 “insurrection” and how the GOP has no chance of unseating President Joe Biden if the former president is the nominee, “MediaBuzz” host Howard Kurtz sprung a question on the swaggering former ABC News contributor as to whether his strategy of torpedoing Trump on the debate stage has failed.

“If we nominate Donald Trump, you’re kidding yourself, and we’re going to lose and that’s going to mean huge government even more out of control than it is today, with a feeble president of the United States being dictated to by the worst elements of his party,” Christie raved.
“But did Trump defuse your strategy of going toe-to-toe with him by staying off the debate stage and saying since he’s got a big lead nationally, in the national polls that he is not gonna do any of the debates?” Kurtz asked.
“Well if he doesn’t do any of the debates, Howie, you know, we’re going to give him another chance,” Christie responded.
“I’m sure he’s not coming to the Reagan debate,” he said, referring to the second presidential primary debate which will be held later this month in Simi Valley, California.
“We’ll give him another chance in Alabama,” he said of a potential third debate at the University of Alabama. “But if he doesn’t come there, then I’m gonna follow him around the country.”
“Wherever he goes, I’ll go,” vowed Christie. “And we’ll wind up talking to each other one way or the other and he knows that’s true.”
“You’re gonna change your travel schedule?” Kurtz asked. “To go where Trump goes, just so I’m clear.”
“You bet,” the former governor answered, ready to shift tactics if that’s what it takes to go human kamikaze on the frontrunner, his mission from the get-go that he had boasted about well before he officially jumped into the race.
Christie may prefer stalking Trump to actually debating, especially after he was nearly booed off the stage at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum during the first debate last month.

With Trump having no real reason to show up at any of the early debates until the no-hopers have been weeded out, the unpopular candidate may have to resort to being a professional heckler, something that would only further endear him to Democrats and the media who have to be loving his obsessive focus on Trump instead of Biden and his left-wing wrecking crew.
