Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-New York, kicked around the idea of complaining to the FCC about President Donald Trump’s 60 Minutes interview.
Trump sat down for an interview with the program, and the results have the leftist contingent in a tizzy. Almost immediately, people on social media began trying to compare it to the disaster interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris. At the time, Trump accused the network of favorably editing the interview, which triggered a legal dispute.
Now, leftists on X are trying to equate the two things:
So CBS settled Trump’s lawsuit where he frivolously sued because they edited Kamala Harris’s interview so it would fit into their air time.
Then CBS does a 73 minute interview of Trump where they made big edits from the version that was broadcast.
They aired 28 of 73 minutes.

Even Schumer got in on it, snidely remarking that he might contact the FCC with a complaint:
Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview.
It will use the exact same language Trump lodged against Vice President Harris.

“Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview. It will use the exact same language Trump lodged against Vice President Harris,” the senator said, making it clear that he’s only considering it as a revenge tactic and not a good-faith report.
Unfortunately for Schumer, the Trump administration’s interest in media transparency won the day, and the full interview had been released on X for those interested in watching:
See President Donald J. Trump’s FULL interview on @60Minutes — all 73+ minutes, without the network’s edits and cuts.

X users dogpiled him in response:
The Trump team has already published the entire interview video.
The Kamala team and CBS refused to release the full interview transcript, much less the video.
That you don’t understand the difference may explain your current approval rating.

Trump released the raw edit already, and it’s so raw that you’d probably try and put some cheese on it if you could. pic.twitter.com/yA9PCspAbb

I think I may file a complaint with the FCC about Your complaint with the FCC.

They condense for TV while posting the full, unedited version online. An actual FCC complaint would likely fizzle without proof of malice. Still, fight fire with fire in court. Your call, Senator.
