CNN was forced to issue a “clarification” after a discussion about mail-in ballots with Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger.
The pair breathlessly exchanged fears about President Donald Trump’s crackdown on mail-in ballots, when host Wolf Blitzer implied that even those sent into the country from overseas would be negatively impacted. One week after making this statement, he issued a “note of clarification” on the subject, pointing out that what he said wasn’t true.

NEW: CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer just issued a “quick note of clarification” after falsely suggesting U.S. troops would be impacted by Trump’s executive order cracking down on mail-in ballots following an exchange he had with Dem Virginia Gov Abigail Spanberger last week.

“A quick note of clarification. On Friday, I interviewed the Democratic Governor of Virginia, Abigail Spanberger. We discussed legal challenges to the Trump administration’s directives for the Postal Service on mail-in voting. A comment I made suggested that U.S. military and overseas voters’ ballots would be impacted by these directives. I want to be clear right now: those ballots are exempt from the Postal Service’s new rules implementing the president’s March executive order. Those groups are covered under the Uniformed and Overseas Absentee Voting Act, just to be specific on that point.”

@cnn He knew that when he interviewed her.he is just too weak and your network is too partisan to push back on her statement as you should have. That is why nobody watches you or trusts you.

You let that propaganda simmer for over a week and you spend only a few seconds redacting those lies.

Blitzer is too stupid to know the Commander and Chief wouldn’t fail to arrange for enlisted personnel to vote.

You’d think research before saying it would have been in order.
