Former President Donald Trump’s associates have been turning themselves in, and leftist outlets like CNN just can’t get enough.
After spending years cracking down on crime and ridding the New York City streets of criminals, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani was finally made to pose for a mugshot of his own in Fulton County, Georgia. Shortly after turning himself in to authorities for his alleged attempt to manipulate the 2020 election results in the state, ‘America’s Mayor’ was seen entering “2nd Chance Bail Bonds” in Atlanta. His bond was $150,000 following a meeting between his lawyers and the District Attorney.
CNN in particular was delighted by the visual:
“This this is the former president’s former personal attorney, by the way, former mayor of New York City, former prosecutor himself, who sent many, many folks he prosecuted to bail bonds offices, bondsman offices like that in the past,” anchor Jim Sciutto noted. “And now he himself is walking through that door.”
“Exactly, the historic nature of this, the man who was perhaps the most well-known prosecutor. Now, having put so many people to surrender for arrest, to get bail, bond to be put on trial, to be indicted now himself on the other side,” replied legal analyst Norm Eisen.
But Giuliani’s mugshot wasn’t the only one released on Wednesday.
Former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell and Jenna Ellis, who lit up with a smile during her booking photo, also turned themselves in. Other notable Trump allies include Georgia lawyer Ray Smith, Trump campaign attorney Ken Chesebro, Former Georgia GOP chairman David Shafer, and former Coffee County GOP chair Cathy Latham were all processed on Wednesday.
Attorney John Eastman and Atlanta-area bail bondsman Scott Hall turned themselves in the previous day, Tuesday, and the former president himself is expected to hand himself over to authorities on Thursday.
