CodePink picked the wrong congressional hearing for this stunt

Multiple Capitol Hill disruptions Tuesday found pink-clad professional protesters of the red-green alliance booted from a hearing covering foreign financing like that of their socialist sugar daddy.

Among the problems plaguing American politics, especially in the era of social media and bot farms, has been the increased influence of international bad actors and their useful idiots. Tuesday, CodePink co-founder Medea Benjamin and peers fell into the latter camp as they were removed from a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee hearing that touched on the “adversary efforts” of activist donor Neville Roy Singham.

Seen engaging with a Capitol Hill Police officer while wearing a “NO WAR ON IRAN” t-shirt in footage shared by Fox News Digital’s Michael Dorgan, Benjamin was escorted out of the Subcommittee on South and Central Asia hearing titled “Trojan Horses: Covert Foreign Malign Influence Operations in America” alongside two allies, one of whom wore a shirt contending “SANCTIONS KILL.”

During the hearing addressing propaganda efforts from the likes of China, Cuba, Iran and Russia, chair Michigan Rep. Bill Huizenga (R) specifically referenced Singham during opening remarks, stating the financier “uses his wealth, ironically earned by relying on capitalism and relationships with the CCP, to provide millions of dollars and personnel to extremist groups like CODEPINK, The People’s Forum, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation to destabilize American society and promote communist ideology.”

“People like Singham and groups like CODEPINK and the growing communist propaganda in our country have become our adversaries’ Trojan horses to sow division from within,” he added as Fox News Digital reported that of some $278 million that Singham funneled to leftists pushing “anti-America, pro-China propaganda,” CODEPINK — co-founded by Singham’s wife Jodie Evans — was the recipient of at least $1.33 million.

Those funds are part of a federal grand jury investigation as Singham and his “Red Web” faced allegations of wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering.

At Tuesday’s hearing, The Heritage Foundation senior fellow Mike Gonzalez engaged with Benjamin after spotting her and said, “I’m telling Medea Benjamin that she should try to stop shilling for a communist tyranny.”

He later warned against the red-green alliance between communists and Islamists during the hearing after Benjamin and her ilk previously disrupted Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s testimony before the House Finance Committee.

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Huizenga argued, “It’s really about theatrics.”

“They’re using it not to affect policy, but really to enrich themselves because they use that then go out on social media, to try to whip other people up, to help donations, to help get volunteers, help get some of those other folks, and to really try to go and disrupt our — not just our sense of government and processing government — but society,” he added as, along with clips holding up signs during a hearing, CodePink shared a video harassing Florida Rep. Randy Fine (R) about Israel outside the hearing.

During the hearing, witnesses testified to groups and campaigns linked to foreign influence, peddling positions in the United States that would prove beneficial to nations like China, such as data center moratoriums and bans.

On influence from China and Cuba, Gonzalez identified the work of BreakThrough News highlighting Beijing-aligned demonstrations while, as Fox News Digital reported, receiving over $1 million from Singham.
