Colbert worshipped with standing-O at Emmys as the night featured profane attack on ICE, rallying support for Hamas

Sunday night’s broadcast of the Emmys is yet another example of how smug cultural elitists have turned awards shows into orgies of self-congratulation conducted in an echo chamber for like-minded people as they showed their love for canceled late-night TV host Stephen Colbert.

Democrats and their fellow leftists reacted with outrage after CBS announced that it was pulling the plug on the “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in July, ringing down the curtain on the unfunny comic who was little more than a foul-mouthed party propagandist with network execs citing “financial reasons” amid reports that the show was losing more than $40 million a year.

He may soon be without a nightly forum for his hatemongering, but Colbert scored the statue for Best Talk Series, accepting the participation trophy that so pleased the leftist-packed audience that they gave him a thunderous standing ovation that rocked the rafters at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Colbert also received a standing ovation when he took the stage to announce the best actor in a comedy series, drawing chants of “Stephen! Stephen! Stephen!” as privileged fannies elevated from their seats.

“I have never loved my country more desperately. God bless America. Stay strong, be brave, and if the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy and punch a higher floor,” he sanctimoniously declared as he was showered with the love of his fellow left-wing elitists, who honored him with the award.

Unlike NFL games, which paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last week, the Emmys ignored the slain conservative activist while featuring the typical left-wing political statements, including attacks on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and support for anti-Semitic Hamas terrorists.

After winning the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, Hannah Einbinder unleashed an F-bomb and rallied support for Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

“F**k ICE and free Palestine – thank you,” the 30-year-old “Hacks” star declared, capping off her acceptance speech.

Also urging support for Palestinians – and punishment of Israel – was Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem, who showed up on the red carpet sporting a checked keffiyeh headdress and called for “Israel to stop this genocide” in a pre-show interview.

The “No Country For Old Men” star was among the actors and other industry workers who vowed to boycott Israeli film or television companies that are “implicated in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people,” the two left-wing code words used to cloak their hatred of Israel and anti-Semitic smears.

“Here I am today, denouncing the genocide in Gaza,” he told Showbiz news and gossip outlet Variety’s Marc Malkin outside the Peacock Theater.

“I am talking about the IAGS, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, who study thoroughly genocide and has declared it is a genocide. That’s why we ask for a commercial and diplomatic blockade and also sanctions on Israel to stop the genocide. Free Palestine,” Bardem added, advocating the use of economic terrorism against the Jewish democracy.

Colbert refrained from using his very special moment to trash Israel, instead making it all about himself. He has previously branded himself a “martyr” on-air after his failing show was canceled, a true narcissist.
