Comer issues MORE subpoenas as he zeroes in on crooked Biden clan, Dems cry foul

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) was only getting warmed up when he issued subpoenas for President Joe Biden’s scoundrel son Hunter and shady brother Jim, and on Thursday, he fired off another round as the walls may be closing in on the crooked Biden clan.

Joining the two Bidens on the list of those being ordered to give depositions are two of the presidential son’s former business associates and, in perhaps a more ominous sign, the owner of a gallery where Hunter Biden’s expensive paintings were showcased as well as a Democrat donor who had purchased some of the ersatz Picasso’s artwork.

On Comer’s list was Eric Schwerin, founding partner and managing director of Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca Partners firm, Mervyn Yan, another business associate, gallerist George Bergès and Elizabeth Naftali, the art buyer who visited the White House on multiple occasions.

“More to come,” the Kentucky Republican promised in a post to X announcing the four early Christmas presents.

“Americans across this country have made it clear to President Joe Biden, the Biden family, and their associates that the gig is up. The House Oversight Committee, along with the Committees on Judiciary and Ways and Means, are determined to follow the facts, and deliver the transparency and accountability that the American people demand, deserve, and expect,” Comer said in a statement posted to the Oversight Committee’s website.

“The House Oversight Committee is also investigating the sale of the President’s son’s high-priced artwork. Hunter Biden’s art dealer, George Bergès, has repeatedly failed to respond to the Committee’s requests for transcribed interviews and information related to the high-dollar art transactions on Hunter Biden’s art,” the statement read.

The latest subpoenas from Comer drew an angry reaction from some Democrats including impeachment and January 6 committee veteran, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) and Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) a filthy rich heir to the Levi Strauss family fortune.

“What Chairman Comer and Congressional Republicans want the American people to believe is that this investigation is about the facts. But at every turn, Chairman Comer has been met with evidence that shows President Biden has committed no wrongdoing, much less an impeachable offense,” Raskin said in a press release. “Rather than accept the facts and the evidence, Chairman Comer has instead decided to abuse the Committee’s authority, degrade Congressional subpoena power, and erode our Constitution in service of former President Trump’s petty personal vendetta by harassing private citizens with conspiracy theories and embarrassing lies.”

“There is still time for Chairman Comer and Congressional Republicans to accept the truth and the facts: there is no evidence of any wrongdoing by President Biden,” the radical left-wing lawmaker added.

In a statement of his own, Goldman slammed Comer for the subpoena to Naftali, saying that her niece was among the hostages taken by the Hamas terrorists who massacred Israeli civilians on October 7 and took captives back to Gaza.

“In the clearest sign yet of House Republicans’ devious and distorted priorities, Chairman Comer has decided to subpoena a private American citizen whose 3-year-old niece is currently being held hostage in Gaza by the terrorist group Hamas,” he said. “Despite no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden, House Republicans are spending their time attacking the grieving family member of a Hamas hostage rather than working to get that hostage released.”

“Chairman Comer’s behavior is disgusting. In his soulless desperation to smear President Biden ahead of the 2024 election, he has stooped to an entirely new low of abandoning the American families of hostages in a pathetic attempt to score political points against President Biden.” the wealthy congressman added, although some might contend that the real “soulless desperation” was that of two of the slimiest Democrats who were involved in the impeachment of Trump.

“Today’s subpoenas represent another step in holding President Biden accountable. House Republicans are committed to doing the oversight work that the American people deserve,” said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) who chairs the powerful House Judiciary Committee.

“As we have said from day one, House Republicans will follow the facts wherever they lead,” said House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-Mo.) “Every step of this investigation has uncovered a web of business associates linked to Hunter Biden and the Biden family business with Joe Biden as the brand at the center of it all.”
