Comer says Bill Clinton ‘exonerated’ Trump in Epstein deposition – ex-president says he ‘did nothing wrong’

After former President Bill Clinton was deposed before the House Oversight Committee on Friday regarding deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, committee chairman James Comer claimed that Clinton had “exonerated” President Donald Trump.

“Today, former President Clinton exonerated President Trump under questioning from the Democrats,” Comer wrote on the social media platform X. “He stated that he has no information that President Trump did anything wrong, and that President Trump never said anything to Clinton to make him think that he was involved with Epstein.”

“President Clinton is now the third witness who has testified under oath that there is no evidence of President Trump committing wrongdoing. It’s sick how Democrats have weaponized this investigation to put politics above survivors. Ranking Member Robert Garcia and Democrats must cease their partisan witch hunt against President Trump,” he added.

Comer is a Republican.

Committee ranking member Robert Garcia, a Democrat, disputed Comer’s claim.

“I don’t think it’s a complete, accurate description of what actually was said, so let’s release the full transcript,” he told reporters after the deposition, according to the BBC.

As for his own possible complicity, Clinton vehemently maintained that “I saw nothing” and “did nothing wrong.”

He also chastised the Oversight Committee for having deposed his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, a day earlier.

Clinton reiterated this attack in a video posted to X after the deposition:

“Republicans made Hillary testify yesterday, and she had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein,” he said. “Nothing. She has no memory of ever even meeting him. She neither traveled with him nor visited any of his properties. So whether 10 people or 10,000 people were subpoenaed, concluding her was simply not right.”

His wife has adamantly maintained that she has no supposed recollection of ever meeting Epstein, despite the deceased pedophile’s madam having attended her daughter’s wedding:

Asked about this discrepancy after her own deposition on Thursday, she fled the room after claiming Maxwell had attended the wedding as a guest of someone who’d actually been invited.

Meanwhile, Clinton released a sworn declaration last month admitting that Epstein had offered up his private plane to him and his staff in support of the Clinton Foundation.

However, he denied ever visiting the deceased pedophile’s notorious island, and he insisted that he didn’t recall any interactions with Epstein during his time in office.

“While Mr. Epstein may very well have attended any of the many hundreds of White House events or receptions during my eight years in office and been photographed with me as were tens of thousands of individuals, I do not recall encountering Mr. Epstein, or any specific interactions with him, while in office,” the declaration read.

He also denied being aware at the time of the sexual crimes that were being committed by Epstein and his madam, Ghislaine Maxwell.

“To be clear, I had no idea of Mr. Epstein’s or Ms. Maxwell’s criminal activities,” the declaration continued. “And, irrespective of any intent either may have ever had, I did not take any action for the purpose of helping them to avoid any type of scrutiny.”
