Kara Lynne was canned by Limited Run Games earlier this month after the company allegedly bowed to one trans activist who accused it of allowing her to follow “transphobic” Twitter users even though she asserts she follows people of all political persuasions.

Lynne, the company’s former community manager, claims she leaves politics out of the workplace where she has been employed since 2020. Despite that assertion, one trans activist led a campaign to get her fired after accusing her of being “a transphobe who follows a veritable who’s who of right-wing transphobic creeps.”
It evidently worked.
“The funny thing about it is, the accounts – I follow accounts of every political affiliation. I am the type of person who likes to see from every direction, so I follow a variety of accounts,” Lynne told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday.
She commented that her employer was actually more concerned with the backlash over the woke issue than the types of Twitter accounts she followed.
“It was more of the publicity it was getting. That was the main thing. They had no qualms with who I followed or anything like that,” she said.
Lynne also elaborated on the situation in another interview with YouTuber Eric July, who is a rapper and libertarian commentator.

“It hurt,” she said, referring to being fired. “I wasn’t angry with [the company], because from a PR perspective, being in a marketing position, you’ve got to understand where they were coming from with this.”
“I wish they would’ve had my back,” Lynne stated.
She explained that she tried to stay away from political controversies on social media and in the workplace, saying, “I’m not a political person in the first place.”
“I typically keep to myself, politics-wise, in the workplace, just because I don’t feel like that needs to be – my beliefs don’t need to be pressed on anybody else,” Lynne said. “I’ve always been very adamant about that like you do you, I’ll do me.”
She was ironically let go on January 6, just hours after activist Jessica Blank, a trans woman and activist, who goes by the moniker Purple Tinker, publicly accused her of being a “transphobe.”
Blank went after Lynne, sharing screenshots of accounts she followed. She proclaimed that she would stop shopping with Limited Run Games until Lynne was fired.

Lynne is convinced that Blank was triggered after she tweeted her excitement about the release of a new Harry Potter-themed video game. Many in the trans community are evidently threatening to boycott the game because of author JK Rowling’s views on trans issues.
Blank sent a tweet to Limited Run Games carping about Lynne’s “transphobic follows” which include Libs of TikTok, YouTuber Blaire White, and right-wing commentator Ian Miles Cheong.
You’ll come out stronger. May this whole debacle serve as a lesson to @limitedrungames not to cave to internet mobs.

She also shared a 2016 tweet from Lynne that said, “If you think the # of trans crying about using a bathroom is higher than the perves [sic] using the excuse, you are what is wrong with this world.”

“Unless and until she is fired from the company permanently, I am not giving them another single dime,” Blank threatened.
That’s all it took for the company to cave to the woke demands and hours later, Lynne was terminated.
Limited Run Games issued a statement trying to give itself cover over the incident, saying, “LRG respects all personal opinions, however, we remain committed to supporting an inclusive culture. Upon investigating a situation, an employee was terminated. Our goal as a company is to continue to foster a positive and safe environment for everyone.”

It did not have the impact the company was looking for, however.
Customers blasted the company for the move and told them they would take their business elsewhere.
@LimitedRunGames just want you to know, a group of us are contacting conservative social media groups on behalf of Kara Lynne. Your ugly dismissal of this lady to asskiss a trans activist will not go unnoticed. It WILL cost you.

“There is a huge, huge discourse going on in the gaming sphere in which a lot of people are saying, ‘If you support this game in any way, you’re also supporting J.K. Rowling.’ I have this feeling that this is kind of where it stemmed from,” Lynne told National Review in an interview.
Following her termination call on Jan. 6, Lynne explained, “In that call, I will say that there were a lot of emotions. I could tell they didn’t want to do what they were doing and even said they didn’t want to. They were being pressured from elsewhere. From what I was told there were no other options presented. But they are providing me with a decent severance and letting me keep my health insurance for a couple more months.”
So what’s with you firing @KaraLynne0326 ?

“I had never been written up or reprimanded. I had never abused my power or personal opinions on the various social channels. I even refrained from commenting or interacting with any political content or controversial topics on my personal social media accounts,” she claimed.
“This one isolated incident was apparently all it took. At least that is what I have been led to believe. If there was another reason, I was not informed. They didn’t want the bad publicity and I can understand that. Unfortunately, I feel like that backfired on them,” Lynne noted, adding, “No hatred toward anyone who was involved in the termination.”
“If we could take one thing from this situation it would be to bring to light the dangers of cancel culture. I have always been opposed to it and have voiced my disagreement with how it is handled. It can be hurtful to all parties involved. If you don’t like something, vote with your wallet and move along,” she concluded.
Blank, who seems obsessed with My Little Pony, has been accused in the past of online bullying. She has previously stated, “I contain within me a monstrous and indiscriminate anger, and when it comes out I become a nightmare.”
