House Republicans voted to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) on Thursday in a rare official rebuke of a lying Democrat while his left-wing colleagues shouted insults and threw a temper tantrum as the chief congressional Russiagate hoaxer received his punishment.
The resolution for censure passed 213-209 with no Democrats voting to hold Schiff accountable for years of deceiving the American people and six Republicans who voted “present” making the former House Intelligence Committee head only the third House member who has been censured since the turn of the century.
Democrat lawmakers shouted “Shame! Shame! Shame!” as Republican Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy stood and announced the final tally, gathering around the lying conspiracy theorist in support and spitting angry pejoratives at the GOP leader.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) was heard calling McCarthy “spiteful” and a “coward” and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) also called him a “spiteful coward” who demonstrated “weak leadership” as McCarthy called for Schiff to present himself to receive his admonishment, saying “I have all night” amid the repeated rude interruptions by Democrats.
“As chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff launched an all-out political campaign built on baseless distortions against a sitting U.S. president, at the expense of every single citizen in this country and the honor of the House of Representatives,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) who led the censure effort said prior to the vote.
“With access to sensitive information unavailable to most members of Congress and certainly not accessible to the American people, Schiff abused his privileges, claiming to know the truth while leaving Americans in the dark about his web of lies… lies so severe that they altered the course of the country forever,” she added.
Before the vote, a defiant Schiff – who also faces an ethics investigation -shamelessly grandstanded on the House floor.
“You honor me with your enmity. You flatter me with this falsehood,” he said to Republicans. “You who are the authors of a big lie about the last election must condemn the truth-tellers, and I stand proudly before you, your words telling me that I have been effective in the defense of our democracy and I am grateful.”

After the vote, Rep. Luna appeared on Fox News where she discussed the historic rebuke with host Jesse Watters.
“He’s gonna go down in history for exactly who he is which is someone that tore apart our country, lied to the American people, exploited and abused his position of power, and ultimately was responsible for one of the biggest fraudulent investigations into any president in the history of the United States,” she said.

“I saw Adam several times today, in the halls of Congress, and every time, you know, he looked at the floor,” she added. “It’s gonna stick with him, I think regardless of what he’s saying, I think it’s weighing heavily on him. He’s one of only a few to ever be censured in U.S. history.”
“If Adam Schiff has a shred of human decency left, he would resign from Congress in disgrace. His tombstone should read of his failed career in Congress and should be one word: LIAR,” said Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) of her disgraced Democrat colleague.
