Conor McGregor accused of sexual assault at same NBA Finals game he clocked Miami Heat mascot

Conor McGregor’s appearance at last week’s NBA Finals game between the hometown Miami Heat and the eventual champion Denver Nuggets was a disaster on every front.

The UFC fighter made headlines on Friday when he coldcocked the Heat’s beloved mascot Burnie, who was seen dancing around wearing oversized boxing gloves during the halftime break as part of a skit to promote a body spray — McGregor dropped Burnie onto the hardwood like a proverbial ton of bricks with a wicked left hook followed by another blow, prompting a visit to the emergency room.

But that may pale in comparison to a complaint filed by a woman who accused McGregor of “violently sexually assaulting and battering” her in a bathroom at  Miami Kaseya Center, according to CBS News.

More from the network:

A letter from the victim’s attorney, which describes a graphic incident of sexual assault, says McGregor, with help from security guards of the NBA and Miami Kaseya Center, allegedly physically forced the woman into the VIP bathroom, “separating her from her friend and trapping her inside” with the fighter and his security guard.

Security allegedly did not let anyone in or out of the bathroom after the victim entered, and McGregor appeared from a stall and “aggressively kissed” her, according to the letter. The victim attempted to escape McGregor numerous times, while he allegedly tried to force her into multiple sexual acts. After continuously elbowing McGregor, the victim escaped, leaving behind her purse, which was returned to her “after several desperate pleas by the victim,” the letter continues.

A TMZ video reportedly captures the moment MgGregor and the alleged victim entered the bathroom, as seen here:

The alleged victim’s attorney, Ariel Mitchell, said in the letter that law enforcement was contacted immediately. A Miami Police Department spokesperson told CBS News that a case was opened on Sunday and that an investigation is underway.

“After the game, and after Mr. McGregor sent the Miami Heat mascot Burnie to the hospital, Mr. McGregor elevated his aggressive, unprovoked, and outrageous behavior by violently sexually assaulting and battering this firm’s client in the men’s bathroom of the Kaseya Center,” the letter said in part, according to the Daily Mail. “Mr. McGregor, aided and abetted by the NBA and Miami Heat Kaseya security, had the victim physically forced via security into the men’s bathroom, separating her from her friend and trapping her inside with Mr. McGregor and his security guard.”

The woman gave police the clothes she was wearing at the time, claiming they McGregor “spat” on her after forcing her into oral sex. He allegedly also attempted anal sex but was too “flaccid” to succeed.

McGregor’s counsel Barbara Llanes told the network, “The allegations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.”
