The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is looking into an alleged noose at a high-profile construction site.
The site of the future Tennessee Titans’ Nissan Stadium has halted all construction as the incident is investigated, according to the Tennessee Builders Alliance. The group released a statement, advising that a reward is being offered to anyone who has “information leading to the identification of the individual responsible.” Workers will be expected to undergo “anti-bias” training as well.
“This week, a racist and hateful symbol was discovered on our site. There is no place for hate or racism in our workplace,” they said. “We reported the incident to law enforcement, suspended work, and launched an investigation.”
Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell also weighed in on the find.
“Obviously, this is an environment where we want to try as hard as we can to prevent scenarios that might be fear or hate-based,” he said in a statement. “We’ve taken some steps, both with local policies, state policy, and partnership with them to try, again, to keep temperatures low and prevent hate incidents like this. It is very concerning, there is an open investigation. I know the Titans are cooperating with Metro Nashville Police, and we’ll see what that investigation turns up.”
But X users aren’t convinced:
Whats the likelihood of it being a rope used in the construction process and not a noose at all?

Omg…ropes and knots on a construction site! I can’t believe it!

Unless there was a neck in the noose this is an overreaction.
