Cory Booker brutally checked when he repeats FAKE Social Security ‘scoop’

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., shared a fake story from an outlet claiming sources gave them an exclusive scoop on the Social Security Administration.

According to Wired, which cited anonymous “sources”, the SSA “will be shifting its public communication exclusively to X.” They even cited “one current employee” as saying, “Do they really expect senior citizens will join this platform?” This claim was even shared by Booker, who called the move “corrupt, cruel and wrong.”

Look:

“Trump and Musk are eliminating 90% of Social Security’s regional staff—and, at the same time, will now only post public updates from Social Security on a platform owned by Musk, where more than 90% of seniors won’t see them. Corrupt, cruel, and wrong,” he wrote, sharing age demographic information for social media users, showing that older people are less likely to use X.

The only thing is, the claim was quickly refuted by not only President Donald Trump’s rapid response X account, but by the SSA themselves.

Now Booker, and those who believed the story with no evidence, are getting thrashed by X users:
