Crenshaw claims MTG wants GOP to lose House, she says they already have under Mike Johnson

U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) is struggling to process the “bullsh*t” of putting the protection of America’s border ahead of the funding of foreign wars.

The former Navy SEAL echoed political class talking points about Russian President Vladimir Putin running roughshod over Europe unless the United States props up the Ukraine military in expressing his dismay over Republican lawmakers expecting Speaker Mike Johnson to keep his word on putting border security first — never mind that Putin’s army wasn’t even able to secure Ukraine.

“I guess their reasoning is they want Russia to win so badly that they want to oust the speaker over it, I mean that’s a strange position to take. And, you know, I think it’s, I think they want to be in the minority too, I think that’s an obvious reality,” Crenshaw told CNN, before adding, “I’m still trying to process all the bullsh*t and stuff.”

His remark was in reference to U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) having filed a motion to vacate Johnson’s seat — she did not force the resolution to be taken up for a vote.

Earlier this week, Speaker Johnson appeared on CNN to say, “We’re going to stand for freedom and make sure that Vladimir Putin doesn’t march through Europe.”

And while the GOP leader will have plenty of Democrats eager to help him pass a foreign aid package — see the recently passed $1.2 trillion spending package — Johnson’s problem is that he’s on record saying the U.S. border is a greater priority.

“Speaker Johnson is plowing forward with $100 billion in security assistance for other countries while breaking his promise to Americans that our border would come first,” U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) tweeted, while sharing a clip posted by Donald Trump Jr. of the speaker saying just that.

Greene responded to Massie’s tweet by pulling back the curtain on the behind-the-scenes deal-making apparently going on in Congress.

“The question everyone should be asking is what deal did Speaker Johnson make with the Hakeem Jeffries to get the Democrats on the Rules Committee to vote for a Republican rule on the foreign war package which includes $60+ BILLION more to Ukraine? This never happens,” she wrote, before noting that the vote “happened around midnight too when no one was paying attention.”

As for Crenshaw’s suggestion about some in the GOP wanting to be a minority, Greene insists they are already there.

“Part of making this happen is that Johnson used Schumer’s bill so they had no reason to be against it,” she said. “Also unprecedented, Republican Speakers don’t use Democrat’s rules and bills. What else did Johnson give away while he’s begging Democrats for votes and protection?”

“We do not have a Republican majority anymore, our Republican Speaker is literally controlled by the Democrats and giving them everything they want.”
