The internet remains divided on a number of topics, but nothing rallies people together quite like calling people out for treating kids poorly.
Something about sports games in particular brings out a horribly selfish side in some people, such as the woman who just couldn’t stand that a father retrieved a home run ball for his son. Video shows the moment the woman angrily confronted the man, who eventually handed the woman the ball just to get her to leave them alone.

It didn’t take long for this video to go viral, and the internet sought justice for the poor boy who was robbed of both the ball, and the good memories associated with attending a game with his father.

But the story isn’t without a happy ending. The Marlins saw what had happened to the young boy and decided to give him a bag full of gifts and a sincere apology for how the woman had treated him.

He also received a signed bat after the game, courtesy of Harrison Bader:

Marcus Lemonis even offered to send the boy and his father to the World Series, adding, “Oh, and you just won an RV as well.”

There’s something heartwarming about both teams and complete strangers rallying around this boy to make sure the woman’s behavior wasn’t the way he remembers his birthday trip with his dad. And as for the “Karen” who got the ball? Apparently, she spent her time arguing with fans who disapproved with her actions:
