The calendar may have flipped forward another year but there will be no change when it comes to the leftist media’s obsession with former President Donald J. Trump and their violent fantasies about the patriotic, pro-American Republican, particularly at MSNBC, the Democratic party propaganda organ that provides hard core haters with their daily fix of delusional vitriol.
Now that Nancy Pelosi’s vaunted J6 committee has failed in its mission to destroy Trump’s political career, joining special counsel Robert Mueller’s witch hunt upon the ash heap of history, hopes have turned to an internal challenger from within the GOP who will be able to prevent a potential return to the White House for the bombastic billionaire, with some putting their faith in Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a rising conservative star who ironically, is hated nearly as much as the nation’s 45th president in their circles.
One MSNBC guest, the left-wing Daily Beast’s Wajahat Ali expressed his desire to see DeSantis take Trump out, invoking one of history’s most famous assassinations, the bloody shanking of Roman Emperor Julius Caesar by the betrayer Brutus along with other lawmakers on the floor of the Roman Senate in 44 BC.
Ali invoked the violent demise of Caesar during his appearance on Saturday’s edition of “Velshi” when the topic turned to the failure of the committee to dispatch Trump and the ongoing government persecution of him into 2023.

“What do you think’s gonna happen in 2023?” Ali asked guest host Mehdi Hasan.
“Well, let’s talk about 2023. On the one hand, as you say, he’s is certainly not going to be in prison even if he is indicted—that trial will take a fair amount of time, whether he ever goes to prison as you say is an open question,” Hassan responded. “But let’s talk about a year from now, end of 2023, just as we’re sitting here, end of 2022.”
“Politically, is he a weaker man? Is he a more damaged political brand?” Hassan continued. “Is he facing challenges from a Ron DeSantis, or any other Republican who fancies their chances against him in a primary? Given he’s clearly, he’s clearly not the candidate that he was in 2016, or even 2020.”
Ali replied, “He is the weakened Golden Calf of MAGA, for sure. But, you and I have had this conversation before. And, you know, everyone was promoting Ron DeSantis, especially Republicans, especially Republican donors, they’re trying to make Ron DeSantis into a thing, and MAGA just isn’t into him.”
If you look at the latest polls, guess who’s the king of MAGA? Guess who they overwhelmingly still support as the leader and the presidential candidate for the Republican party in 2024?. Donald Trump,” he added.
“So, I’ll believe it when I see it, right? I’ll believe it when Brutus actually takes out Julius Caesar,” Ali said. “But, right now, it’s still Trump…”
Removing a political foe from the playing board is one thing but the modern incarnation of the American left is fixated with violence, especially when it comes to their adversaries.
