Dem clown uses Trump to threaten Durham’s reputation, but it backfires bigly

Justice Department Special Counsel John Durham received fervent applause from committee members Wednesday after pounding Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) into the carpet for loudly declaring that his reputation was damaged because he allegedly helped former President Trump.

Durham gave one of the best responses ever in front of the House Judiciary Committee as Cohen attempted to savage him.

Because of Trump, “your reputation will be damaged!” Cohen viciously exclaimed, asserting that Trump is damaged goods and that everyone who gets involved with him is damaged.

“My concern about my reputation is with the people who I respect, and my family, and my Lord, and I’m perfectly comfortable with my reputation with them, sir!” Durham clapped back.

The attack against Durham occurred as he testified about his recently published report, which concluded that the FBI never had a justification for launching an investigation into alleged collusion between Trump and Russia ahead of the 2016 election.

The report also detailed inappropriate behavior between Democratic Party officials, US intelligence agencies, and the media in order to conduct an investigation that was intended to derail the Trump administration.

Cohen bluntly accused Durham of using the report to help the former president and told him that anyone who allies themselves with the former president has their reputation destroyed.

“I’ve tried to follow your report. Mr. Donald Trump, Jr. would’ve called it a nothing burger. You got no convictions, you got nothing! It was all set up to hurt the Mueller report — which was correct and was redacted — to hurt the Bidens and to help Trump,” Cohen railed during the proceedings.

“And you were a part of it. You have a good reputation. You had a good reputation, that’s why the two Democrats supported you. But the longer you hold onto Mr. Barr and this report that Mr. Barr gave you as special counsel, your reputation will be damaged, as everybody’s reputation who gets involved with Donald Trump is damaged,” the apoplectic Democrat screeched.

“He’s damaged goods, there’s no good dealing with him ’cause you will end up on the bottom of a pyre,” Cohen furiously asserted.

Committee chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) then made way for Durham to respond, who noted in the vein of our Founding Fathers that he only answers to God, his family, and those he respects. Which obviously does not include Cohen.

After Durham made his notable response, Jordan complimented him, saying, “Well said, God bless you,” as others at the hearing applauded him.

Adding to the bloviating spectacle that Democrats displayed in front of the committee, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) took his own potshots at Durham and got nailed for it.

Schiff attempted to corner Durham over a 2016 meeting where Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Paul Manafort, and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya sought “very high-level and sensitive information” that would be incriminating to Hillary Clinton.

“People get phone calls all the time from individuals who claim to have information like that,” Durham said referring to the contact.

“This son of a presidential candidate gets calls all the time from a foreign government offering dirt on their important opponent. Is that what you’re saying?” Schiff weaselly asked.

“I don’t think this situation is unique in your experience,” Durham quipped seemingly referring to Schiff getting spoofed by Russian comedians posing as Ukrainian officials offering him “compromising” dirt on Trump, which included nude photos.

An embarrassing audio surfaced online where Schiff can be heard discussing the committee’s Russia investigation and bizarre allegations about Trump with a man who claimed to be Andriy Parubiy, the chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament.

The Russian comedians who were actually behind the call were nicknamed “Vovan” and “Lexus” and have become notorious for their phony calls to high-ranking American officials and celebrities, including UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and singer Elton John.

That call went on for eight minutes. Schiff’s office tried to claim that he suspected it was a hoax and reported it to authorities afterward. But on the call, it appeared that Schiff was totally taken in by the pranksters. Emails from the Democrat’s staff to the fake politician afterward said he had found the call “productive,” according to the Daily Mail.

Despite Schiff’s efforts to pull a gotcha on Durham during the hearing, his attacks appeared to fall flat as usual.
