Dem congressional candidate says she hates everything about the city she seeks to represent

Democratic congressional candidate Aftyn Behn is telling Nashville voters not to believe their lying eyes – or ears, in this case – after audio of a 2020 podcast appearance captured her expressing how much she hates the city AND country music.

Behn, a state representative serving in the Tennessee House, is looking to flip the 7th congressional district, which includes portions of Nashville, in a Dec. 2 special election. But will her earlier testimonial hurt or help her chances?

“I hate the city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all of the things that make Nashville. I hate it,” Behn declared at the time.

The radical left social worker and community organizer responded to the controversy by blaming Republicans — she’d fit in well in DC.

“NO, I DO NOT HATE THE CITY I REPRESENT ,” she posted on X.

“The national GOP’s new attack? That I ‘hate Nashville.’ I’ve cried in the Country Music Hall of Fame no less than 10 times. They’re panicking because we’re close to winning. Eyes on the prize, y’all. Let’s go.”

Given that Nashville is a Democrat-run city and the party thrives on intolerance and hate, even while preaching that love wins, social media users expect that Behn could do well.

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X?:
