Democrat Rep. Gwen Moore of Wisconsin either doesn’t watch the news or is so far left that she has lost all ability to reason.
While speaking to C-SPAN, she bizarrely claimed that “Republicans own most of the media.” She then proceeded to list only one news organization (Fox News) and two social media websites (which she thought were the same thing) to prove her point.

“You know we do well, I appreciate CNN, but I’ll tell you, Republicans own most of the media. They control Fox News, and uh, X or Meta or whatever you call it. You know, right now the president has purchased- or allowed his allies to purchase TikTok. [Democrats] are hard-pressed to get our message out,” Moore said.
The incredible popularity of Fox News in the cable news arena does not equate to Republicans “owning” the media, it just means that leftists aren’t watching left-leaning news outlets. Likewise, Elon Musk owning X doesn’t mean that leftists can’t get their message out on the platform. And nobody in their right mind is mistaking Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg for a conservative, especially after the platform’s behavior during the Biden years.
