A new poll of Democrat voters shows, among other things, how much they want President Donald Trump out “by (almost) any means necessary.”
Center for Strategic Politics posted the results of the poll, which was conducted with Liberal Currents, and the results included several notable insights into the left’s political thought process.
To begin, former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and California Governor Gavin Newsom are all top contenders for the party’s 2028 presidential nomination.

But things got radical pretty fast when it came to potential ways for Trump to leave the White House before the official end of his final term.

Indeed, support for an impeachment, conviction, and removal received the highest amount of support, with 75% of respondents feeling “very positive” about that route. Being removed via the 25th Amendment was a close second at 70%, Trump passing away “overnight in his sleep” received a shocking 45%, and being removed by a military coup as a means to “safeguard the Constitution” sits at a 43% “very positive” ranking.
Another question asked how Democrats broadly view high-profile figures within the party. It’s no surprise that former President Barack Obama received the highest “very favorable” ranking at 79%, with Buttigieg, the party at large, and Sen. Bernie Sanders trailing distantly behind. Newsom, Anderson Cooper and NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani sit in the middle, while Sen. Chuck Schumer, progressive streamer Hasan Piker and liberal comedian Bill Maher fared the poorest. In fact, Schumer had the highest “very unfavorable” percentage of all possible options, at 19%.
And despite championing the media, including the likes of The Washington Post and The New York Times, the poll shows Democrats largely don’t have a strong trust in media outlets.
