A show of support for Israel saw a Democrat power player physically removed from an NFL game Sunday witnessed by his guest, a presidential hopeful.
The City of Brotherly Love offered no such fidelity to the people of Israel during the Philadelphia Eagles Week 9 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys from Lincoln Financial Field. At least, that was the message sent when New Jersey Democratic Party organizer and power broker, 67-year-old George Norcross, appeared to be ejected from his private box after displaying a flag.
As seen in a viral video shared across social media, a banner depicting half of the American flag and half of the Israeli flag had been hung in front of Norcross’ box where Republican presidential candidate and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie attended as a guest.
Once named the Garden State’s most powerful non-elected political figure, Norcross appeared heated as briefly put his hands on the stadium representatives dispatched to remove the flag.
Reacting to video shared by New Jersey Globe editor David Wildstein who said, “George Norcross was physically removed from the @Eagles game today because he [displayed] a banner of the American and Israeli flags outside his box,” former Assistant Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services Michael Caputo summed up the scene.
“Hamas terrorist backers are Democrats. New Jersey Democrat multi-millionaire George Norcross spent decades building one of the most effective and influential political machines in the nation,” wrote the former Trump administration official. “He helped build a party based on anti-Semitism, now they’re attacking him.”

While Newsweek and the Daily Mail had reached out for comment from Norcross, brother to current New Jersey Rep. Donald Norcross (D), no statement was available at the time of this posting to confirm whether or not the businessman had been removed entirely from the premises.
According to the rules of the stadium “Signs, banners or similar items that are obscene or indecent, not event-related, potentially offensive to other patrons, capable of blocking the views of other fans or otherwise deemed dangerous or inappropriate by the Eagles are prohibited. They may not contain commercial messages, logos or political endorsements and may not be hung on the stadium structure.”
The guidance further stated, “Lincoln Financial Field reserves the right to confiscate signs that are in violation of stadium policy.”
Christie, who could be seen in the video looking on as Norcross interacted with stadium officials, had been seen earlier when he took part in a televised interview with Ron Jaworski on NBC Sports from the Norcross Pregame Tailgate where what appeared to be the same flag had been displayed prominently.
The businessman’s cross-aisle ties also linked him to former President Donald Trump, as a former member of the Republican’s Mar-a-Lago club, as well as his being a close friend of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), according to the New York Times.
Reaction to the video left many wondering if they would have removed any other flag and furthered the distaste that many had lingering for the NFL since the National Anthem protests of BLM supporters.
Unbelievable

In fact a Palestinian flag was flown proudly without incident in Cleveland as the Browns played the 49ers. pic.twitter.com/jwPqANfbMN
