Democrats are blaming voters for ‘being stupid,’ thinking economy is bad when ‘it’s actually good’

On every issue of the utmost concern to the American voter, things are not going well for President Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, but instead of seeking real solutions, independent journalist Glenn Greenwald surmised they’re taking a whole new tact when it comes to laying the blame.

On Monday, Greenwald joined Fox News host Jesse Watters to offer some insight on the “rough shape of the country” ahead of the midterm elections. In their conversation, the journalist indicated that Democrats are aware of their mistakes and are choosing to stay the course and, ultimately, it is the fault of the voter for being “too dumb to understand.”

Looking back at the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election that pitted then-businessman Donald Trump against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Greenwald said, “The Democrats lost an election they never expected to lose. They basically lost to a reality TV show host when Hillary Clinton had all the backing of the establishment in the world.”

“And instead of asking, what is it about our ideology that ruled the country for eight years, that drove people away from us into Donald Trump’s arms, they instead decided they were going to blame everybody else,” he explained. “The Democrats simply replaced Trump with the same ideology that they governed with for eight years under Obama that caused people to run away from them as fast as they could. And now that people are doing that again, instead of asking ‘why is that happening’ they’re getting poised to blame the electorate for being stupid – for thinking the economy’s bad when it’s actually good.”

White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain attempted to spin the polling of Biden’s terrible handling of key issues while continuing to blame the “biggest problems” as inherited from Trump.

“If you think things are going bad it’s because you’re too dumb to understand your own lives,” contended Greenwald of the Democrats’ messaging. “And if you vote for Republicans it’s because you either don’t care about racism or you don’t care about fascism.”

“And ultimately they’ll just say that we’re ‘too racist’ to vote for Democrats,” he noted while explaining that their agenda is that of neoliberalism, globalism and militarism that promotes the needs of the corporate elite ahead of the taxpayers.

He further suggested Washington breeds an insulated system. People who arrive with good intentions become captive to that system.

“They spend most of their time dealing with their corporate donors who demand from them a certain set of policies that don’t serve the rest of the country,” he decried and noted Biden was among them.

As it happens, the president was out doing exactly that Monday while promoting how great the energy crisis is because it is integral to the Green agenda to move away from fossil fuels.

“When it comes to the gas prices,” Biden said, “we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.”
