Dems and their minions open new front against Hegseth

Democrats and their minions are once again taking aim at Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in the aftermath of his epic speech to military leaders at Quantico, Virginia, in which he emphasized that the days of DEI in the armed forces are now over.

In his historic address, Hegseth put “fat generals” on notice and made it clear that military fitness for combat roles will now return “to the highest male standard,” with female service members no longer being able to benefit from the lax requirements that were permitted during the Biden administration, another example of the new secretary’s commitment to the primary mission of warfighting.

Hegseth’s remarks caused hurt feelings, and on Sunday morning, Democrats and their mouthpieces appeared on the “news” shows to suggest that he’s a misogynist, a new front against a man whose rooting out of “woke” ideology from the military has made him into their hated enemy.

In an appearance on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” the party rolled out Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), a wheelchair-bound, f-bomb-spewing disabled combat veteran, to attack Hegseth, wailing about the unfairness of making military members meet the highest physical standards regardless of their gender.

“Well, this is the least qualified Secretary of Defense in our nation’s history, and he’s questioning the ability of the women who actually qualify to their- to do their jobs. The female Rangers, the female that graduated from SEAL school, have met those highest standards,” Duckworth told host Margaret Brennan. “And, by the way, he is obfuscating a little bit because there are different male standards. The standard for 45 45-year-old man is not the same as an 18-year-old man. So he doesn’t actually talk about that.”

“He has long sought to push women out of the military,” she added, a brazenly shameless lie. “And, frankly, our military could not do its job of protecting America and keeping us safe without the women who serve in the military.”

“Frankly, you’ve got a least qualified secretary of defense in the nation’s history who wastes taxpayer dollars on a regular basis doing things like bringing in general and flag officers to be an audience for his dog and pony show, using them as little toy soldiers when they should be out there at your units in command, doing their jobs,” Duckworth added, concluding her nasty diatribe against the Pentagon chief.

The senator is hardly an unbiased public servant when it comes to Hegseth, whom she obviously despises.

During another network’s Sunday political gabfest, retired Gen. Peter Chiarelli, who served as Army vice chief of staff during the Obama administration, assailed Hegseth for his “attack on women” on  ABC’s “This Week,” a concocted fake narrative that the Democrats are going to run with.

“I’m concerned about what I considered an attack on women, and the fact that there are people who say that women have been let into different combat fields and cannot meet the standards,” he told host Martha Raddatz. “I just don’t believe that’s true.”

“This is not about preventing women from serving. We very much value the impact of female troops. Our female officers and NCOs are the absolute best in the world. But when it comes to any job that requires physical power to perform in combat, those physical standards must be high and gender-neutral. If women can make it, excellent. If not, it is what it is,” Hegseth said during his speech.

“If that means no women qualify for some combat jobs, so be it. That is not the intent, but it could be the result, so be it. It will also mean that we mean that weak men won’t qualify because we’re not playing games. This is combat. This is life or death,” he added.
