Dems are accused of being giddy over long TSA lines

If you thought Democrats actually cared about Americans suffering from the partial government shutdown, think again.

Leftist lawmakers really thought that shutting down the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was going to make a point, but all it’s done is defund the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and make the already-frustrating experience of air travel even worse. President Donald Trump is now threatening to send Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in to keep things flowing (since they’re still getting paid) and apparently this makes the Democrats “giddy.”

Yes, “giddy.” The same level of excitement that one might feel about receiving a marriage proposal or a promotion at work is how elected leftists feel about the president stepping in to clean up the mess they’ve made for average Americans in the name of appeasing their radical, anti-ICE base.

Look:

“NEW: If TRUMP thought dispatching ICE agents to airports would force Dems to blink in the never-ending DHS shutdown standoff, he’s in for a rude awakening,” reported “ABC, WaPo and CNN alum” Rachael Bade. “I checked in with a bunch of Democratic lawmakers and top staffers yesterday. Their response wasn’t just unfazed; at times, it was downright giddy. The way they see it, Trump’s move screams desperation and that the White House fears getting blamed. Their thinking: If the White House is this rattled, Dems can squeeze even harder. Some are even betting Republicans will cave as soon as this week.”

If nothing else, it seems clear that American suffering is a small price to pay for Democrats to feel like they’ve accomplished something. Voters are nothing more than pawns in whatever games they feel like playing.
