Dershowitz slams Rashida Tlaib for refusing to comment on Hamas atrocities: ‘Shame on you!’

Constitutional law expert Alan Dershowitz blasted Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) after the far-left lawmaker refused to answer questions about atrocities committed by Palestinian terrorist group Hamas against Israeli children.

Tlaib, a member of the smack-talking “Squad” group of House Democrats, had little to say on Tuesday night when she was confronted by Fox News correspondent Hillary Vaughn at the U.S. Capitol and asked for her comment about the butchery carried out by the Islamist fanatics who even chopped the heads off of Jewish babies.

The legendary former Harvard Law professor expressed his disgust with Rep. Tlaib’s cowardly act during a Wednesday appearance on Fox Business when host Larry Kudlow played a clip of the extremely rare occasion when the Jew-bashing congresswoman kept her mouth shut.

“She won’t even comment on chopping off babies’ heads, children’s heads, and she has a Palestinian flag hanging outside of her office,” Kudlow said, referring to Tlaib’s proud display of the same flag flown by Hamas at her Capitol office. “She’s a U.S. congresswoman.”

“I don’t deny her right to have her opinions,” he continued. “I don’t think you do either, professor, but I think there is a certain point of just basic in-humanitarianism that we have to get past in this country. There has to be a conversation. Right now there’s no conversation. This woman is an extremist, she’s a bad apple, in my opinion.”

You have to have a single standard,” Dershowitz responded. Would she have refused to comment if there were a member of Congress who supported lynching of African Americans, as some did back in the 1910s, 1920s?”

“This is the same. These are lynching,” he added, using one of the left’s favorite terms to describe what the Hamas savages did to their helpless victims. “More Israelis were lynched in one day than African Americans were lynched in any 10-year period in history, and we have to think of these as lynchings, and we ask to ask people who justifiably always oppose lynchings, and would oppose them today, how they can remain silent in the face of this.”

“Shame on you, Congresswoman!” Dershowitz concluded.

On Wednesday, Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) had kinder words for the rabidly anti-Israel congresswoman in yet another sign of how Democrats have not only welcomed flagrant anti-Semitism into their big tent but have continued to make excuses for its practitioners.

Tlaib and her fellow “Squad” members have been strongly criticized for their reluctance to take a strong moral stand on the horrific weekend attacks on civilian areas where the terrorists massacred 260 concertgoers at an outdoor music festival and slaughtered Jews in their own homes, with some of the barbarians parading around with their victim’s corpses as trophies.

Instead of expressing basic human decency toward the victims, Tlaib instead smeared Israel’s “apartheid” government, a term often used by leftists to liken the Jewish democracy to the racist South African system, a pejorative that only fans the flames of anti-Semitism.
