DeSantis sending more troops to border fight as Biden keeps ‘subsidizing’ the invasion

America’s Governor announced his next moves on defending national sovereignty while he called out the White House for doing the opposite, “basically subsidizing the border invasion.”

The unaddressed border crisis has remained a central focus throughout President Joe Biden’s administration and, with his re-election on the line, the Democrat leader has endeavored to shift the blame for his failed policies to the GOP.

Friday from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Pensacola, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis upended the White House’s narrative by continuing a “years-long” effort to combat the open border where the administration was said to be facilitating the perpetual influx.

Standing before officers of the Florida Highway Patrol and National Guardsmen, of which another 76 and 50 were en route to the border respectively, the governor emphasized how the issue stretches beyond Texas.

“This is part of a years-long effort for us to help do what the federal government has refused to do, which is to actually defend this country’s borders,” said DeSantis. “You’ve seen numbers that have been astronomical over these last three years. I know that what’s been happening in Texas has been effective. You’ve seen the numbers go down, and that’s really because you have Texas putting forth huge effort, and then all these other states coming by to help.”

“So, so we want to be a part of that. We think this is an American issue, partially just because we should have a secure country,” he added. “And then partially the effects of this border invasion go to all 50 states.”

While fielding questions from the press, DeSantis spoke to concerns over military-aged males from China, North Africa and the Middle East that have been encountered by Border Patrol, including some on terrorist watchlists as he noted in the past with a previous wave of support, and the reality of how the federal government was facilitating that.

“The federal government is funding that, a hundred percent they are, and it’s wrong. Our grand jury that we did…one of their reports talked about the role that these NGOs do. These NGOs make a fortune because of illegal immigration. They bring people in, the federal government gives them money,” he stated. “What we did in Florida is we took action regarding their ability to interact with the state. The problem is they have this money coming from the feds.”

An example of the governor’s concern came from a United Nations report that showed the global entity in conjunction with 248 named non-governmental organizations had been providing preloaded debit cards to illegal aliens courtesy of American taxpayers.

“They are intricately involved in orchestrating movements of people from foreign countries into this country illegally. That’s what those NGOs are doing. And I think they should be held accountable for that,” contended DeSantis. “I definitely don’t think the federal government should take your tax dollars and fund that because they’re basically subsidizing the border invasion because folks know they’re coming and they’re gonna be able to have this landing spot with these groups.”

The Florida executive’s comments came as Biden’s policies were readily blamed for the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley as it was learned that the alleged suspect was a Venezuelan national who’d entered the country illegally in Sept. 2022 only to be paroled out into the public “due to lack of detention space.”

“So our grand jury looked at it,” DeSantis remarked. “There may be more that comes of that. There may be things we do in the future legislatively to be able to hold them accountable. But they, they have exercised absolutely a negative influence on this. They have facilitated more illegal immigration. They have not worked to combat illegal immigration at all.”
