Desperate to staunch the bleeding, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is looking to shore up the party’s ranks as it eyes next year’s critical midterm elections and a shot at retaking control of the House of Representatives.
On Monday, the DNC announced that it’s launching a “nationwide voter registration blitz,” which it touts as an “all-hands-on-deck” effort to “engage voters early and everywhere” as the badly damaged party seeks to recover from devastating losses in the 2024 election and widespread voter disgust with its policies, especially when it comes to crime.
“During the DNC’s Voter Registration Week of Action, Democrats will be all-hands-on-deck to organize and register voters across the country,” DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement on the party’s effort, which will feature 50 registration events in 27 states and territories across the nation.
The party is also eying a number of off-year elections, including the Virginia gubernatorial race, the Supreme Court race in the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania, and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s gerrymandering initiative to redistrict Republicans further out of power in what is already a one-party state.

“This year’s Week of Action represents the first time in years that the DNC is directly supporting voter registration efforts for National Voter Registration Day, working closely with College Democrats, state parties, and grassroots organizers to meet voters where they are,” the DNC said in a statement.
“From bustling farmers’ markets to stadiums and college campuses — and now to virtual organizing spaces — Democrats are showing up in force to bring new voters into the fold,” the organization said, listing several locations for the drive, including the University of Arizona, Florida State University, Morehouse College, the University of Pennsylvania, and more than two dozen others that weren’t named.
The “all-hands-on-deck” effort comes after the New York Times reported that the party has been getting drubbed across 30 states, losing badly in voter registrations to Republicans for the period between 2020 and 2024.

The four-year drop came during the time when disgraced President Joe Biden was the senile figurehead of the most extreme administration in the nation’s history. One that allowed millions of illegal aliens – including violent criminals – to swarm into the country, glorified criminals like George Floyd, weaponized the FBI and DOJ against political enemies, forced Americans to submit to COVID vaccinations, and spearheaded an unprecedented campaign of censorship.
Institutionalized anti-white racism and the government promotion of perversion – including sexual genital mutilation surgeries for kids – were also hallmarks of the Biden administration. Actions and policies that, while immensely pleasing to the Democrats’ extremist base, turned off normal Americans who have fled the party in droves.
“During the DNC’s Voter Registration Week of Action, Democrats will be all-hands-on-deck to organize and register voters across the country. On the heels of our successful Organizing Summer program, where we expanded our volunteer base to 41,000 people and made over 1.6 million voter contacts, we recognize that the next stage of our program is to ensure we are once again engaging in voter registration,” Martin said in a statement.
“Across 27 states and territories, Democrats will be hosting a combined 50 events to register voters and hold Republicans accountable for selling us out to their billionaire backers. We’re building the infrastructure necessary to win everywhere. The work continues now,” the DNC boss added.
The voter registration “blitz” comes as the party seeks to gaslight Americans into believing that years of its incendiary rhetoric that demonized President Donald J. Trump and his supporters as Nazis and white supremacists wasn’t a factor in last week’s assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Already identified as the party of crime and criminals, Democrats and the left were branded as the “party of murder” by Tesla/SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, a label that could stick like glue as their voters cheered the murder of the 31-year-old father of two who was shot during an event on the Utah Valley University campus with graphic video of blood spurting from his neck being openly celebrated by leftists while elected Democrats and their media handmaidens blamed Trump.
Martin himself has contributed to the type of inflammatory rhetoric that killed Charlie Kirk.
“Now look, folks, I’m sick and tired of this Democratic Party bringing a pencil to a knife fight,” the DNC chair said. “We cannot be the only party that plays by the rules anymore. We’ve got to stand up and fight.”
He also said that Trump is “a dictator-in-chief” and that his second White House term is “fascism dressed in a red tie.” The Democrats’ favorite f-word was an inspiration to Kirk’s accused assassin, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who had shell casings inscribed with anti-fascist messaging, including the taunting phrase, “hey fascist! CATCH!”
Democrats may be facing tough sledding to recruit new blood with a growing number of Americans now identifying the party with crime and political violence.
