Desperate Kamala to sit down with Fox’s Bret Baier, Trump reacts

In a desperate high-stakes move to reverse her downward spiral three weeks before the election, Kamala Harris’ handlers will trot her out for an interview on Fox News.

On Monday, the network announced that the Democrat nominee will appear with anchor Bret Baier for an interview that will air on Wednesday’s edition of “Special Report” at 6 p.m. ET from the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania.

“FOX News Channel’s (FNC) chief political anchor Bret Baier will conduct an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 16th. This week’s appearance marks her first formal sit-down interview on the network ever,” Fox News said in a statement.

It was a stunner of a move for the vice president who refused to participate in the conservative network’s proposed debate in early September and seems to be a sign that her campaign is in big trouble after a hellish week during which she picked an ill-advised fight with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, was mocked by SNL, and her allies – including Barack Obama – are pushing the panic button over her inability to land the support of males, especially black voters.

Former President Donald J. Trump reacted to the interview by tearing into Baier in a blistering Monday afternoon post to Truth Social.

“’Lyin’ Kamala Harris has wisely chosen Bret Baier, of FoxNews, to do a much needed interview, because he is considered to be ‘Fair & Balanced,’ though often very soft to those on the ‘cocktail circuit’ Left,’” the GOP nominee wrote.

“I would have preferred seeing a more hard hitting journalist, but Fox has grown so weak and soft on the Democrats, constantly polluting the airwaves with unopposed Kamala Representatives, that it all doesn’t matter anymore. Hopefully, the people will understand on November 5th, and Early Voting. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump said.

Baier insisted that there were no agreed-upon “preconditions” with the Harris camp to land the interview.

According to the star anchor’s response to an X user, “There were no preconditions to get the interview. No one has the questions ahead of time —except me. No topic is off the table. And if there is any editing -it will be very minimal for timing and will be editorially the same question and answer- we are pre taping the interview right before my live show Wednesday in Pa.”

Trump also blasted Baier’s network colleague Neil Cavuto in another Monday Truth Social post.

“How much time does Ian Sams, Senior Advisor to Lyin’ Kamala Harris, spend on FoxNews? He’s now on Cavuto, Fox’s Lowest Rated Show, by far, and spent much of the weekend hitting ‘TRUMP,’ totally unopposed, before two real ‘beauties,’ Eric Shawn and Arthel Neville – Not exactly the next Walter Cronkite of the Broadcasting World! Sams is just a below average guy, with memorized FAKE NEWS soundbites, almost all of which are WRONG, but coupled with all of the other Harris Radical Left Democrat mouthpieces that Fox puts on (Richard Fowler, Patrick Murphy, “something” Wolf, Jessica Tarloff?), it has a very negative effect on the Election,” he wrote.

“Think of it, I spend an hour with the wonderful Maria Bartiromo, do a beautiful job, and then am followed up all day long by one-sided, negative Democrats, including Ian Sams, who virtually owns the Network. It’s not worthwhile doing Interviews on Fox, because it all just averages out into NOTHING. FoxNews has totally lost its way!” Trump added.

Whether Baier will be a hard-hitting journalist or use the kid gloves treatment has yet to be seen but Team Harris is clearly looking to use the Fox News appearance to their advantage after much mockery over the raunchy “Call Her Daddy” podcast, the Howard Stern show and late-night with vulgar Democrat mouthpiece Stephen Colbert.

Hours before the Harris-Baier interview, Harris Faulkner will moderate an all-female Fox News town hall with Trump on Wednesday morning
