After a hit piece from the Southern Poverty Law Center “smear factory” included doxxing writers, the team at The Babylon Bee hit back.
Tuesday, the long “discredited” SPLC took their quixotic folly against what many considered norms and common sense to new heights when they made public their investigation on satirical site The Babylon Bee and its non-satire sister site Not the Bee. In it, they revealed personal information, including the identities, of six writers who had chosen to remain anonymous for their safety.
Reacting to doxxing, members of the team like Not the Bee CEO Dan Dillon managed to convey both the serious nature of what took place while maintaining their witty style of coverage. The co-founder’s statement expressed, “They’ve taken personal information about our authors and pieced together a story that is meant to ‘expose’ our anonymous staff to their employers and the general public.”
“While we take the actual issue of doxxing very seriously and will defend those on staff that wish to stay anonymous, what we don’t take seriously is this organization that’s behind the attack,” he continued. “They are angry, bitter, resentful hacks that feel like their ability to pummel people into worldview submission is slipping away.”
You may have heard that the Southern Poverty Law Center has targeted our organization for a hit piece. They’ve taken personal information about our authors and pieced together a story that is meant to “expose” our anonymous staff to their employers and the general public.

Likewise, The Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon unloaded, “The discredited, scandal-ridden smear factory known as the SPLC is about to publish a hit piece doxxing several of our ‘Not the Bee’ writers who wished to remain anonymous so they could speak freely, without fear.”
“They did it because they’re left-wing activists masquerading as journalists. They did it because they lack principles. They did it because they’re vindictive bullies who’ve admitted their aim is to ‘completely destroy’ individuals and organizations they disagree with by making them pay a steep price for speaking freely,” he went on. “As a public figure, I’ve been attacked many times. It comes with the territory, and I accept that. What I won’t accept is the doxxing and smearing of our staff because they said some things the SPLC doesn’t like.”
Sharing the response, Elon Musk captioned the statement, “The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a criminal organization [in my opinion].”

In an effort to defend their investigation, evidently driven by their ideologically-based defense of alphabet activism and the causes supported by rainbow flag standard bearers as well as open borders, SPLC released their own statement that read, “The SPLC is committed to transparency and is dedicated to protecting the safety of trans and genderqueer individuals when they are publicly attacked.”
“Hateful content like the material created by Not the Bee writers works to dehumanize transgender individuals, the entire LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities, and people of color. This divisive commentary has no place in our society,” the organization asserted.
Reacting to the argument, Not the Bee co-founder Adam Ford wrote, “The SPLC admits that their goal is to censor speech, destroy traditional, sane values shared by the MAJORITY of Americans, and shut down any dissent to their perverse and tyrannical Woke Mafia.”
“I say the woke mind virus, which has destroyed countless children, women, and men in the name of narcissism, perversion, money, and power, has no place in our society. I think the time has come for us to sort this out for good.”

To that point, in June it was reported that the SPLC had laid off more than a quarter of its staff, amounting to over 60 employees to “focus and align our work with out programmatic priorities and goals,” which apparently meant prioritizing attacks on the team from the Bee instead of providing legal representation to illegal aliens free of charge.
As others ripped into the SPLC for the unscrupulous attack on the anonymity of the writers, Joel Abbott, editor-in-chief of Not the Bee, posted, “I stand behind everything that I have published. The old regime, with its cries of ‘racist!’ and “bigot!’, is dying. I do what I do to save lives from the Woke Monster’s ravages. Love will conquer all. Soli Deo Gloria.”
SPLC should be held accountable.

The SPLC has a staffer (Thomas Jurgens) who was charged by Atlanta & GA state prosecutors for domestic terrorism in a RICO antifa case. https://t.co/6PjLc2dxIM
His SPLC colleague Creede Newton, who contacted your writers, is a far-left extremist himself like many in that org. https://t.co/ruwAl11I7C

There’s nothing wrong with stating facts. Gender dysphoria IS a mental illness, and kids who have it deserve HELP and empathy, not “affirmation” and experimentation.

Shameful conduct by SPLC. But it is also a testimony to the good you are doing. You have enough influence that the bad guys noticed.
And you are in good company! Many other fine Christian organizations have been targeted by SPLC.
Keep up the good work. Don’t be…
