Sexually charged innuendo continued to be a staple of the Democratic Party’s commentary on one big city mayor, as the latest offering relayed what Hizzoner had done for holes.
Ever-reliant on low information voters, leftist campaigns are known for appealing to feelings over facts. That played out anew this week on Instagram, where the Democrats’ official account put a peculiar emphasis on how New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) had succeeded in getting “HOLES FILLED.”
The caption for the post read, “Mayor Mamdani’s Pothole Blitz has repaired 66,000 potholes since January,” echoing the sentiment presented in the image, where the words “HOLES FILLED” were displayed in a considerably larger font than the rest of the message.

Innocent though the message may appear, its perverse quality was beyond apparent when juxtaposed with previous updates regarding the communist politician, as he has been confronted with the basic challenges of leadership in City Hall.
A post in late February had read “Every street across all 5 boroughs PLOWED in New York City as of Feb. 24,” while another placed an emphasis on scale as it read, “16 INCHES of snowfall in New York City as of Feb. 23,” begging the question, “What is going on here[?]”

It’s worth remembering that, following the sound walloping in the 2024 presidential election, where President Donald Trump swept all the swing states and enshrined the second failed White House bid for now-former Vice President Kamala Harris, Democrats had embraced plans on how to talk to young men at a cost of millions.
“The prospectus for one new $20 million effort, obtained by the Times, aims to reverse the erosion of Democratic support among young men, especially online,” The New York Times national political correspondent Shane Goldmacher wrote. “It is code-named SAM — short for ‘Speaking with American Men: A Strategic Plan’ — and promises investment to ‘study the syntax, language, and content that gains attention and virality in these spaces.’ It recommends buying advertisements in video games, among other things.”

Of course, the same supporters who endorse Drag Queen Story Hour, pushing gender ideology on kids, displays of kink and debauchery on then-President Joe Biden’s White House lawn and waving the rainbow standard over every institution were unsurprisingly welcoming of the innuendos.
“Y’all know exactly what you’re doing,” wrote one user as another suggested, “You guys are killing me with the titles of these posts.”
“Mayor Mamdani, you are relentless,” posted another.
Still, those who were not as easily distracted by the sophomoric sentiments being injected into the political sphere were quick to remind what was actually being highlighted.
“You’re celebrating potholes getting filled? Isn’t that one of the basic functions of a city’s government?” argued one, while someone else called out, “Seems odd to use the national party’s platform to brag about fixing potholes in NYC.”
