John Kelly, the former White House Chief of Staff turned Never-Trumper, is claiming that former President Trump is “scared sh*tless” after facing 37 felony counts against him over the alleged mishandling of confidential documents that he pleaded not guilty to this week.

“He’s scared sh*tless,” Kelly told a salivating Washington Post reporter.
Charges against Trump include willful retention of national defense information and conspiracy to obstruct justice. After facing a Miami judge on those charges, the 77-year-old former president took time to visit a popular South Florida Cuban restaurant where he bought everyone food and mingled with supporters before he flew back to New Jersey where he gave a defiant speech at Bedminster Golf Club.
“President Trump is defiant in the face of political persecution, and if any community understands the dangers of tyranny and a weaponized judicial system, it’s our friends with family ties to Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil,” campaign strategist Chris LaCivita said after Trump visited the restaurant, according to The Washington Post.
Kelly speciously claimed that the visit to the restaurant and rubbing elbows with his followers was nothing more than Trump’s way of attempting to cope with his circumstances, according to the New York Post.

If convicted on all counts, Trump is facing an outrageous maximum of 400 years in federal prison for something that President Biden himself is guilty of, ostensibly far more so than the former president. If convicted on one count alone, Trump faces life in prison due to his age.
“This is the way he compensates for that. He gives people the appearance he doesn’t care by doing this,” Kelly stated, fervently hoping that his claim is true.
“For the first time in his life, it looks like he’s being held accountable. Up until this point in his life, it’s like, I’m not going to pay you; take me to court. He’s never been held accountable before,” the bitter former Trump aide contended.
Kelly is a former Marine Corps general. He first served Trump as his homeland security secretary and then replaced Reince Priebus as White House chief of staff in July 2017. He served in that role until January 2019. It appears in retrospect that Kelly was a poor choice on Trump’s part.

Kelly has not tried to disguise his hatred of Trump since leaving his administration. He reportedly described the former president as “the most flawed person” he’s ever known, according to CNN. He further smeared Trump, stating, “The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it’s more pathetic than anything else.”
Trump has vigorously denied any wrongdoing concerning the documents and has called his prosecution a witch hunt. Many of his supporters see it as political persecution by the Biden administration and Democrats to stop Trump from running for the presidency in 2024.
In his speech Tuesday evening, Trump slammed Special Counsel Jack Smith, who brought the 37-count indictment against him, calling Smith a “deranged lunatic,” a “thug” and a “raging and uncontrolled Trump hater.”
“If the communists get away with this, it won’t stop with me. They will not hesitate to ramp up their persecution of Christians, pro-life activists, parents attending school board meetings, and even future Republican candidates,” Trump proclaimed in his post-arraignment speech. “I am the only one that can save this nation.”

As Democrats continue to attempt to burn Trump at the proverbial stake, Republicans are digging in even further into investigations against President Biden and his son Hunter over allegedly each taking a $5 million bribe from foreign nationals.
Trump pledged if reelected to have a special prosecutor investigate Biden and his family, “The seal is now broken,” which prompted a chant of “Lock him up!” from supporters during his speech.
