The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Wednesday that it’s investigating whether certain Epstein files were wrongly withheld.
As previously reported, NPR published a scoop earlier in the week claiming that when the DOJ recently released the Epstein files, they withheld a few pages containing allegations directed at current President Donald Trump.
The DOJ responded by writing on social media this Wednesday that “should any document be found to have been improperly” excluded from the release, “the Department will of course publish it, consistent with the law.”
As the Department of Justice has consistently said and has done since the January 30, 2026 publication of the Epstein files, if any member of the public, including victims, reported concerns with information in the pages, the Department would review, make any corrections, and…

When the DOJ released the records last month, officials said that while they were hoping to be transparent, they would withhold records that exposed abuse victims or were duplicates.
That turned out to be a lie, whether intended or misintended.
“Lawyers for Epstein accusers told a New York judge this month that the lives of nearly 100 victims had been ‘turned upside down’ by sloppy redactions in the government’s latest release of records,” according to the Chicago Tribune.
“The exposed materials include nude photos showing the faces of potential victims as well as names, email addresses, and other identifying information that was either unredacted or not fully obscured,” the Tribune reported.
The department also warned that some of the records were full of crap.
“Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election,” officials said.
“To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already,” they added.
One missing Epstein file unearthed by NPR contains a record of an FBI interview with a woman who alleged that deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had introduced her to Trump when she was 13.
But what’s also true is that, according to the DOJ, the records were held back because of a request from the woman and her attorney.
Another missing record, meanwhile, is from an interview with a woman who was abused by Epstein as a child. When identifying her abuser to the authorities, she showed them a cropped photo of her abuser. The person missing from the cropped photo was reportedly Trump.
Here’s the catch: The woman readily admitted to having purposefully used the cropped version because she “was concerned about implicating additional individuals.”
So she removed Trump from the photo precisely to make sure he wasn’t incorrectly implicated with her actual abuser.
Buried deep within the BOMBSHELL NPR article is the actual content of these Epstein records:
– A woman who called the FBI with a “cropped photo” of a “widely distributed photograph” of Epstein and Trump.
– A woman who sued the Epstein estate and dismissed her claims in 2021.

The next missing record is from a woman who never even mentioned Trump. Instead, she at one time sued Epstein, who’s now deceased, but later voluntarily retracted her suit and claims in 2021.
The last missing record is from a woman who did indeed accuse Trump of abusing her when she was young — but who ultimately refused to cooperate with the authorities, making her claim meaningless.
Speaking with NPR, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson was quick to note that all the so-called “evidence” scooped up by NPR was a big, fat nothingburger.
“Just as President Trump has said, he’s been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein,” Jackson noted. “And by releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena request, signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and calling for more investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends, President Trump has done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone before him.”
“Meanwhile, Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett have yet to explain why they were soliciting money and meetings from Epstein after he was a convicted sex offender,” she added.
