The border, the election and the vice president converged in a scathing op-ed from Donald Trump Jr. slamming “allergic to common sense” Democrats as the GOP worked to secure the vote for citizens.
As corporate media, delegates and party leaders propped up Vice President Kamala Harris as the presumptive nominee, Republicans honed their messaging to assert the chaos at the southern border was an intentional failure to impact the upcoming election.
While his father rallied in Georgia to “UNLEASH HELL” on his new Democratic rival, the former first son penned an op-ed for Fox News presenting concerns about election integrity.
“Americans should decide American elections. This is common sense and fundamental to our democracy. But Democrats are allergic to common sense, and they do not want our elections to be secure,” wrote Trump Jr.
“They have put America last, and non-citizens first, by opening our borders, dismantling election safeguards and embracing non-citizen voting,” he continued. “We deserve a secure system where our future is decided by our citizens, not this anti-American version of the Democrats.”
Pointing the finger at the party’s new presumptive head honcho, Trump Jr. asserted, “Led by Vice President Kamala Harris, they have undermined our country at every turn, welcomed the invasion at the border and encouraged non-citizens to cancel the voice of Americans.”
“Biden’s border czar VP — turned presidential candidate Harris — has failed Americans with her devastating performance at the border. She has not spoken to the Border Patrol chief, she has only visited the border once (years ago), and she has allowed more than 40% of catch and release migrants to totally disappear,” he laid out as he reminded that nearly 10 million foreign nationals had illegally entered the country since the beginning of President Joe Biden’s administration. “…the illegal aliens who broke the law to enter this country will certainly have no qualms about breaking the law to vote. But that doesn’t seem to matter to Harris because she’s counting on their vote.”
Former President Donald Trump had made a similar assertion in Atlanta Saturday as he blamed Harris for the deaths of every innocent American murdered by an illegal alien under her watch with a specific shoutout to Laken Riley.
“Kamala Harris let in the savage monster who murdered Laken Riley,” he told the crowd. “He was an illegal alien who was in Border Patrol custody. But, under Harris’ policies, instead of being deported immediately and fast, he was set free into America. ‘Please enjoy your stay.'”
“Kamala should not be asking for your vote,” the president said. “She should be begging Laken Riley’s family for forgiveness.

With little more than three months remaining before Election Day, Trump Jr. reminded that Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R) had introduced the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act meant to ensure that illegal aliens would be prohibited from registering to vote by requiring proof of citizenship and expanding state access to federal databases to aid in keeping foreign actors from interfering in American elections.
Having referred to current law as “toothless,” he promoted the SAVE Act to resolve the issue wherein “the vast majority of states do not require proof of citizenship.”
“Even in Harris’s residences of San Francisco and Washington, D.C., non-citizens are explicitly allowed to vote in certain elections,” Trump Jr. pointed out as he presented legal battles being fought in states like Vermont, Arizona, North Carolina and New York City to keep non-citizens off the voter rolls.
“Democrats have a clear plan: allow law-breaking illegal aliens to overrun the border and remove barriers to the ballot box,” he asserted while encouraging volunteers join Protect The Vote. “This is election interference, and we must stop it.”
