Don Jr. points out ‘slap on the wrist’ for Hunter could mean MORE trouble for Trump

Donald Trump Jr. has been around politics enough to know how the game is played when it comes to his famous father.

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, was indicted Thursday in federal court in Delaware on three counts tied to possession of a gun while using narcotics — he faces a maximum prison sentence of 10 years each on two of the charges, while the third has a maximum of five years. Each charge carries a maximum fine of $250,000.

Unfortunately for Donald Trump, there’s an established pattern of a Trump indictment following bad news for the Biden family, a phenomenon Sen. Ted Cruz took note of last month, “Every time bad news comes out about Hunter Biden or Joe Biden, you can set a stopwatch — within hours some clown goes and indicts Donald Trump again.”

Taking to X, Don Jr. was singing the same refrain: “Now that Hunter Biden has been indicted how many mins till Biden’s corrupt DOJ drops another Trump indictment to change the narrative? It’s nice to see something happen, though this is likely the excuse DOJ will use to pretend they’re fair when they give him slap on the wrist!”

This is not the first time the former president’s namesake has called attention to this pattern.

“Anyone else noticing a pattern here? The corrupt [bureaucrats] of the Biden regime charge Trump literally the day after every single disastrous Biden crime family story,” Trump Jr. tweeted on August 1, along with an attachment to back up his claim:

Hunter Biden’s indictment came after a Justice Department sweetheart deal giving him a pass on the gun charges fell through. There is a strong sentiment that this is more gamesmanship from the Biden DOJ to detract from more serious allegations that threaten to sweep up President Biden.

“This is so they can argue there is an equal application of the law while protecting his father. It’s a sideshow. The bribery, foreign influence-peddling, selling-out-America corruption is the main event,” tweeted former Fox News host Monica Crowley.

On that note, House Oversight chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement Thursday: “Today’s charges against Hunter Biden are a very small start, but unless U.S. Attorney Weiss investigates everyone involved in the fraud schemes and influence peddling, it will be clear President Biden’s DOJ is protecting Hunter Biden and the big guy.”

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to Donald Trump Jr.’s tweet:
