Don Lemon calls Trump base ‘f—ing racist,’ ‘I don’t think you can be black and be a rational MAGA person’

Former CNN host Don Lemon continued his hate-filled rhetoric against President Donald Trump, calling out supporters as “really f—king racist.”

Lemon ranted in an interview with HBO’s Bill Maher that black MAGA voters aren’t “rational” and followed up with a complaint that he had “triggered” Trump supporters.

The former CNN anchor, who was fired in 2023, insisted he was sharing a “truth.”

“I don’t think you can be black and be a rational MAGA person, I think you can be black and be a Republican,” Lemon said on the “Club Random” podcast.

“I think they would find that very insulting,” Maher countered.

“Well, the truth is often insulting,” Lemon told the longtime host of HBO’s “Real Time.”

His words ignited an immediate backlash.

Soon enough, Lemon posted a video mocking the controversy.

“Well, I have unwittingly, unknowingly pissed the MAGA people off again,” he said.

“Apparently MAGA, they’re upset or triggered by something I said about black MAGA and MAGA in general on Bill Maher’s podcast,” he continued. “It’s always the same right-wing trolls, right-wing media ginning up controversy because they have nothing better to do.”

He then told viewers to tune in to his YouTube show “if you really wanna know what I have to say about it.”

But it seems social media users have already heard enough.
