Donna Brazile’s Trump accusation quickly falls apart

Ex-DNC chair Donna Brazile lost her mind on Sunday, accusing President Donald Trump of “ruining” soccer.

It started with her sharing a Washington Post story about the president asking “FIFA to review Folarin Balogun’s one-game suspension and spoke personally with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.” Balogun is a United States national soccer team player who was hit with a red card, which should have resulted in a one-game suspension that had him sit out of the team’s upcoming match against Belgium. The red card was eventually overturned, and Belgium is appealing this decision, but some are accusing Trump of putting his thumb on the scale after he directly reached out to the FIFA president.

Look:

“Just as I am learning the game of soccer, the rules and a few players. Trump ruins it. Geez us. Now this crap!” Brazile ranted.

Ultimately, FIFA made the decision to overturn the card, and the appeal process is currently underway. But it comes as no surprise that because Trump urged the organization to review the suspension, the TDS sufferers are coming out of the woodwork to condemn the decision.

X users had a lot to say about her take on the situation:
