Sparks flew during another lively discussion on “The Five” when the top-rated Fox News show’s leftist co-host Jessica Tarlov was put on the spot over the Democratic Party’s censorship of people whom they disagree with.
House Democrats sought to censor the congressional testimony of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who is challenging President Joe Biden from the left and who has been the target of an ongoing smear campaign by his party’s media attack dogs, and on Thursday, left-wing lawmakers on the new Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government unsuccessfully moved to shut down the candidate during a hearing about censorship.

Jeanine Pirro kicked off the fireworks show when she asked Tarlov about the party’s recent shift from being defenders of free speech into an entity that has more in common with leftist dictators like Joseph Stalin than Kennedy’s uncle JFK or other traditional Democrats.
“Jessica, why is it that the Democrats all of a sudden have this totalitarian instinct to shut people down, to claim that what they are saying is disinformation, misinformation, or malinformation, where they admit that what Kennedy is saying is true but it doesn’t jive with their ideology?” Pirro asked.
Tarlov responded by trying to make it all about former President Donald J. Trump.
“So first of all, when we’re talking about the censorship – and I mentioned this yesterday, but it is important to reiterate – RFK Jr. began his statement by saying, ‘I was censored by the Trump administration and I was censored by the Biden administration,'” she said. “The Hunter Biden laptop story happened in October of 2020, when Donald Trump was the president. His administration made the same kinds of requests of big tech to take things down that the Biden…”
“We agree,” Jesse Watters jumped in. “The FBI’s out of control.”
“It wasn’t Trump,” Greg Gutfeld pointed out.
Tarlov shot back, “Yeah, the Trump-appointed FBI director.”
Watters replied, “No, no, no, no, the FBI that’s been against Trump and for Biden for six years.”
“I forgot, the ultimate victim,” cracked Tarlov.
After more back and forth, Pirro steered the conversation back on topic, “Well you brought him up! Let’s talk about Kennedy. Let’s talk about why the Democrats won’t let this guy speak.”
“All right, let’s talk about your guys’ boyfriend, RFK Jr.,” Tarlov shifted back to Kennedy.
“So, first of all, he’s polling at 14%, not 17%. The reason it’s going down is people are hearing him and they don’t like what he has to say because he has no agenda that speaks to the Democratic Party and our values,” she said, noting that his traditional liberal values have nothing in common with today’s raging authoritarian version of the party.
“He wants to talk about being anti-vax, which is not what we think he wants to do,” she continued. “Videos at the border. And I think the border is an important issue, but you know what I want to hear him talk about? Talk about your work as an environmental lawyer, talk about what’s going on with climate change…”
The discussion continued on for a couple of more contentious minutes during which Tarlov tried to defend the censorship of RFK Jr. without ever answering the original question about the Democrats’ embrace of censorship before Pirro brought the segment to a close.
“Here’s the bottom line,” she said. “The Democrats want to shut him down, and they don’t want him to speak, they want to deplatform him and they want to censor him. And that’s what they want to do with Robert Kennedy. I don’t understand why they are so offended by this guy.”
