A meeting with Attorney General Pam Bondi prompted grandstanding by House Democrats, who walked out of the briefing and immediately held press conferences and issued statements.
The Democrat drama queens walked out in protest after Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday in the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Democrats slammed the closed-door hearing as “fake” as Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) said Bondi “refused on multiple occasions to commit to following the subpoena.”
“We asked her multiple times, and she refused to commit. We won’t participate in a fake hearing that’s not under oath and not transcribed,” the California Democrat whined in a post on X.

The hearing on Wednesday came after House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) announced this week that he had subpoenaed Bondi, following a 24-19 vote in which five Republicans joined Democrats in favor of the move. Bondi told reporters after the hearing that she “made it crystal clear I will follow the law.”
“This was clearly the Democrats’ plan all along: to walk out of the briefing the DOJ offered to provide,” Republican Committee members said in a post on X.

Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) complained to reporters that Comer said she was “bitching” after her demands on Bondi’s April deposition.
“Instead of answering as an adult, he said that I was bitching, which is again, something that would not be allowed if we were operating under the rules of this committee, because engaging in personalities is actually something that we are not able to do,” Lee said.
Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ) took to social media to gripe about the hearing as well, calling it “insane bullsh*t.”
“So, I just got home from the most insane bullsh*t that Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche tried to pull,” Ansari said in the video, claiming Democrats were not given a lot of information prior to the meeting and “didn’t even know the format.”
“So we show up, and it becomes very clear quickly that this entire fake hearing we had, the intention of it is so that she doesn’t have to come and be under oath as part of a deposition,” she went on.
Comer blasted Democrats for their “typical behavior.”
Oversight Democrats tonight had the opportunity to ask @AGPamBondi and @DAGToddBlanche ANY QUESTION they wanted.
What did they do?
Storm out and run to the cameras.
No one should be surprised. https://t.co/oWg6LEEYrs

“I’ve never seen members storm out of a briefing with the attorney general, and the entire leadership of the Department of Justice, who are there to answer questions, and they don’t ask a single question,” Comer said.
