After walking away a winner last Friday, E. Jean Carroll took a corporate media victory lap Monday to detail her plans to use $83 million from the former president to “cause him pain.”

Having previously landed $5 million from her civil suit against former President Donald Trump that found him liable for battery and defamation, the author was awarded more than $83 million in damages by a New York City jury in her follow-up defamation suit.
While the former president’s legal team looked towards the appeal process, Carroll appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” alongside her attorney Roberta Kaplan to level charges against Trump interlaced with threats of further litigation.
Welcoming her to the program like one might congratulate an actress who’d just won an Academy Award, host George Stephanopoulos was all smiles as he warmly asked, “Has it settled in yet?”
“What a great question,” she began with a laugh. “The elation was so great on Friday. It filled me up — it was almost painful.”
“Today I’m just very happy because I’m calm enough to realize what [Kaplan] did,” Carroll went on as the former Clinton White House communications director wondered at an exchange of smiles with jurors before seeking insight on her plans for the payout.
“I don’t want to waste money,” the author said before elaborating on what that would look like. “Well, I do have an idea. I’d like to give the money to something Donald Trump hates. If it will cause him pain for me to give money to certain things, that’s my intent-”
As Stephanopoulos sought an example, she offered one up – peppered with an allegation against the former president, “Perhaps a fund for the women who have been sexually assaulted by Donald Trump.”
The media blitz that included appearances on CBS and CNN Monday morning repeating many of the same details also had Kaplan undeterred by the potential for delays in the receipt of the eight-figure sum.
As had been detailed, while the appeals process is underway, Trump is still expected to pay Carroll in full or he could attempt to secure a bond that would come with interest and fees if he were able to find a financial institution willing to loan him the tens of millions of dollars.
“Wherever this lands,” Bruce Green, director of the Louis Stein Center for Law and Ethics at Fordham University told The New York Times, “she should be able to collect.”

On the possibility of Trump repeating the comments that landed him with the defamation suit, Kaplan told Stephanopoulos, “All options are on the table. If we have to bring another case, we bring another case.”
Meanwhile, social media users recoiled at Carroll’s behavior on the program, slamming GMA for the “disgusting” display.
She proved herself as a money hungry, man hating woman.

This was disappointing GMA. And her response to what she will do with the money- “I’ll put it towards anything Trump hates!” Left a sour taste in my mouth. I love GMA with my coffee in the morning but this interview made me think it’s time to switch.
