Education Dept. staff panicking and traumatized by Musk’s DOGE whiz kids

The U.S. Department of Education is next up on the list of federal agencies that are being audited by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with entitled employees about to be given a lesson on accountability, and they aren’t happy about it.

On Tuesday, members of Elon Musk’s team were reportedly on the premises, traumatizing staffers who are terrified that they could soon be out of their jobs. A pair of 22-year-olds, Akash Bobba and Ethan Shaotran have been granted administrator access to the agency’s email system according to NBC News.

At a Friday press conference, Trump was asked about the legality of the coming government downsizing, defending the process and telling an NBC News reporter that the Department of Education would be one of Musk’s top priorities.

“He will be looking at education pretty quickly,” the president said.

The “Musketeers” as DOGE workers have been derisively dubbed are stirring up the entitled bureaucrats.

NBC News quoted one unidentified longtime department employee who told the outlet that “there is an urgent and deep worry sweeping across the agency’s career staff as DOGE sets its sights on them.”

“There are people who are panicking. There are people who are eligible for retirement and still say, ‘I’m not going anywhere. I’m not going to voluntarily give in to the pressure and the intimidation.’ That’s all this really is,” claimed another anonymous source cited by NBC News, said to be a military veteran who “described a scene of confusion and demoralization as Trump and Musk portray federal workers as lazy. Others are digging in their heels because they feel as if they’re being bullied.”

The Department of Education was the site of an ugly scene last week when unhinged Rep. Maxine Watters (D-CA) led a group of Democrat lawmakers who tried to storm the building but were rebuffed by an employee who was berated and harassed for doing his job.

“Unhinged Maxine Waters is annoying AF,” White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung said in a post to X, sharing a video of the congresswoman. “This deranged behavior is like a scene ripped straight out of Flowers in the Attic.”

Another Democrat lawmaker bemoaned the presence of Musk’s team.

“It’s our understanding that today, they’re inside the building, they’re on the sixth floor, they’re canceling grants and contracts,” Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) told the HuffPost. “They’re literally dismantling and shutting down programs as we speak.”

“We expect that the Department of Education is going to potentially be dissolved in the coming days,” she added, predicting doom for the agency which has been strongly criticized by Trump and Republicans.

“It’s not legal. They know it’s not legal. But they’re doing it anyway,” Stansbury added, telling the outlet that the party is counting on lawfare and crooked activist judges to save them. “The only recourse we have right now is to go to the courts. I can tell you, we will absolutely be in the courts immediately as they’re dismantling the Department of Education.”
