Election denier Schumer won’t allow new GOP senator to attend orientation after AP called race

Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is refusing to allow Republican Senator-elect Dave McCormick to attend orientation this week even after AP called his Pennsylvania race.

In the latest example of the far-left party’s hypocrisy when it comes to elections, the New York City Democrat won’t accept the will of the people after McCormick edged out longtime Senator Bob Casey who is pulling a Stacey Abrams and refusing to concede.

Democrats are holding out hope that the late-arriving ballots that they depend on to cling to power will reverse the GOP pick-up and allow them to hold onto the seat after voters gave Republicans control of the upper body, stripping the power-abusing Schumer of his leadership.

“With over 100,000 ballots left to be counted in Pennsylvania, the race has not been decided. As is custom, we will invite the winner once the votes are counted,” a spokesperson for Schumer told Fox News Digital.

Schumer’s spiteful move sparked outrage from his Republican colleagues who blasted the hypocritical outgoing majority leader.

“Schumer is not allowing @DaveMcCormickPA to participate in Senate orientation this week because Casey refuses to concede the race. What happened to all the demands that our leaders accept the outcome of the elections?” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) asked in a post to X.

“Senator-elect Dave McCormick won. Chuck Schumer’s shameful, election-denying decision to block McCormick from Senate orientation shows Schumer’s true character,” wrote Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), calling out Schumer’s election denialism.

“Chuck Schumer is an election denier,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wrote. “Chuck, the country overwhelmingly rejected your petty tyranny when they voted you out of being the Majority Leader. Do the right thing and invite Senator-Elect McCormick to orientation.”

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) scolded Schumer to “Stop being a baby & take the L.”

More GOP Senate reactions.

Putting it more bluntly was McCormick’s fellow senator-elect Tim Sheehy who beat out Democrat Jon Tester for Montana’s Senate seat.

“Dave McCormick is the new senator for Pennsylvania. The idea that Schumer would not allow him to participate in Senate orientation is beyond unacceptable. The voters of Pennsylvania have spoken. Looking forward to having Dave’s strong voice in the Senate Republican Conference,” said Sen. John Thune (R-SD) who’s currently the Senate Minority Whip and looking to take over his party’s leadership position this week.

Schumer’s latest silly snit is just one more reason why he is unfit for leadership and America should celebrate that he’s on the way out.
