Just when you think Portland couldn’t get any weirder, some guy in an Elmo costume shows up to crash an anti-ICE protest.

Whose side is the furry red puppet on? What does he stand for? What are his thoughts on the current political tensions in the United States?

Well, none of these questions got answered, but if you’re looking for a video of a life-sized man in an Elmo costume harassing Antifa protesters who are demonstrating against President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement action, you’re in the right place:

The performance confused demonstrators, and according to a Fox News report. While it’s not clear who exactly was behind the mask, the character spent some time trolling protesters outside the ICE facility in Portland, so it’s safe to say he’s probably not one of them.
