Elon Musk floated a possible, albeit “distasteful” solution on how to deal with Volodymyr Zelensky, who doesn’t appear motivated to seek peace between Ukraine and Russia.
A war of words, and political posturing has continued following the highly contentious pow-wow between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky on February 28th.
Zelensky has continued to seek military and financial support from Western nations after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. Joe Biden was quick to respond to Zelensky’s requests, but Trump has taken a different tactic… putting America’s interests first.
Trump had proposed a minerals deal with Zelensky to help offset the billions in aid given to the natural resource-rich country. Trump had argued America’s presence within Ukraine would help the country’s security and had hoped to fast-track peace negotiations with Russian President Putin.
After Trump dismissed Zelensky for appearing ungrateful and rude during the now infamous meeting, the Ukrainian president has been seeking help from European allies. Somewhere along the line Zelensky had reportedly said that the end of the war with Russia is “very, very, far away.”
That statement did not sit well with President Trump, who wasted no time blasting Zelensky on Truth Social.
“This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy, and America will not put up with it for much longer!” Trump wrote. “It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want
there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy, stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the U.S. – Probably not a great
statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?”
After Trump’s pushback went viral on X, DOGE chief Elon Musk weighed in stating, “Zelensky wants a forever war, a never-ending graft meat grinder. This is evil.”

Musk’s post drew the attention of X user “DC Draino” who offered a theory on Zelensky’s suspected zest for more war, claiming if the war ends, so will his power.
“Then his adversary will investigate his money laundering and he’ll be sent to prison, Draino continued. “Zelensky is sending innocent Ukrainians to die in his meat grinder so he can stay in power. Dictaor.”
To which Musk replied, “True.” Then he offered a possible scenario that could get Zelensky out of the way, but admitted it was ‘distasteful’ in the sense it lacked appropriate consequences for for the ‘dictator’.
“As distasteful as it is, Zelensky should be offered some kind of amnesty in a neutral country in exchange for a peaceful transition back to democracy in Ukraine,” Musk stated.
True.

Many X users agreed that Musk’s solution was “too kind” but some conceded it may be a solution to save innocent lives.

After what Zelensky has done, that is way too kind and generous.
