What can be more entertaining for the great unwashed than to watch wealthy behemoths go at one another in a meme war?
The battle royal began when billionaire Elon Musk found humor in a meme featuring a photograph of rapper Ice Cube — aka O’Shea Jackson Sr. — alongside an image of a glass of water.
The caption read: “Remember Ice Cube? This is him now, feel old yet?”

Not one to be trifled with, despite only having a paltry net worth of just $160 million, Ice Cube countered with a meme taking a shot at X, formerly known as Twitter since Musk assumed control of the social media platform — a free speech enthusiast he must not be.

Interestingly, a social media user named “greg” jumped in to explain that the meme war was all his fault, saying he “accidentially started [the] beef.”
The question is, should we thank him or curse him?
I posted this innocent meme under one of Elon’s posts and now I accidentally started beef between @elonmusk and @icecube pic.twitter.com/v9EREKifPB
