Elon Musk’s decision to meet with leftist billionaire George Soros’ son has critics warning Musk to be careful — extra, extra careful.
How did these two men whose political ideologies are diametrically opposed agree to meet in the first place? It started on Twitter/X with leftist journalist John Nichols.
On Tuesday, Nicholas published a Twitter/X thread in which he sought to dispute President-elect Donald Trump’s popular vote victory and election mandate.
View the thread below:
Which candidate won the majority of votes cast in the 2024 presidential election? Neither.
The popular vote count is ongoing. Current percentages are:
Trump 49.94
Harris 48.26
Trump has steadily ticked down as votes are counted. Harris has ticked up.https://t.co/oabWm4TTNG

On election night, Trump claimed a “powerful mandate.” At that point, he was winning well over 50% of the vote. But there were tens of millions of uncounted votes. As the count nears completion, it reveals that most Americans did not vote for Trump.https://t.co/oabWm4TTNG

Media outlets claimed Trump won by a “landslide.” In fact, his margin over Harris is down to less than 1.7 points—one of the smaller margins in the history of presidential elections. That margin is likely to shrink by the time all votes are counted.https://t.co/oabWm4TlY8

Shortly after Nichols posted the three-part thread, Alexander Soros retweeted the second tweet and added a message of his own.
“It is not a powerful mandate, and the numbers are important ‘they provide Democrats and progressives, however, is an argument against despair and surrender,'” he tweeted, though it’s not clear who he was quoting. “This was a close election. Not a surprise!”

It was in response to this specific tweet that Musk decided to extend an olive branch to Soros.
“I would be curious to meet and understand your goals better,” Musk tweeted at Soros late Tuesday afternoon.

To his credit, Soros responded nicely.
“I often learn most from people whose views are different than my own. Open to meeting,” he tweeted.

When and where the meeting will occur remains unknown. However, conservative critics are already rushing to warn Musk to be careful.
The Soros family is notorious for using their hefty wealth to prop up disastrous leftist causes. For instance, they’re known for funding the election campaigns of soft-on-crime prosecutors like just-ousted Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón.
They’re also known for donating to fake news operations like the Courier Newsroom, a “Democrat dark money funded media project … that operates websites claiming to be news outlets in key swing states.”
And lastly, the Soros family is infamous for supporting efforts to censor and silence dissenting thoughts and ideas on social media.
Look at some of the warnings conservatives are sending Musk below:
Be careful if you meet him.

Be careful, I don’t trust him at all, he’s a .

He’s is the globalist! Don’t be fooled by the evil Soros! They are headed to hell.

I can tell you his goals. Open borders, rampant crime, check out the history of his dad. The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree

George would be a bridge too far. It wouldn’t be advisable to cut off a potential ally for the sins of his father. That said, the fruit do not often stray from the shade of that tree without being carried.

Elon, food for thought. How did you make your original fortune? Nose to the grindstone hard work and smarts.
How did his Dad make his original fortune? The spoils from complete and total world chaos from a World War.
Polar opposites. Keep that in mind.
