Notorious sex trafficking pedophile and alleged blackmailer Jeffrey Epstein boasted that he advised a top Russian diplomat on how to handle President Donald J. Trump, according to emails released by the House Oversight Committee.
The emails dominated Wednesday’s media coverage on a day when the Democrat shutdown would officially end, giving the party a desperately needed distraction and jump-starting the Trump-Epstein narrative that they had glommed onto earlier this year as a weapon against the president.
According to a June 2018 email exchange with former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland, who at the time was leading the Council of Europe, Epstein sought to gain influence with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov by offering his insight into the nation’s 45th president.
In the June 24, 2018, email, Jagland thanked the wealthy pervert for a “lovely evening” and said he would meet with Lavrov’s assistant.

“Churkin was great. He understood Trump after our conversations; it is not complex. He must be seen to get something, it’s that simple,” Epstein said, referring to Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s former ambassador to the United Nations, who passed away in 2017.
“I think you might suggest to Putin that Lavrov can get insight on talking to me,” the email read. “Vitaly Churkin used to, but he died.”
The email exchange took place a month before Trump sat down with Putin in Helsinki, Finland. It isn’t clear whether Epstein actually got together with Lavrov. He was found dead a year later inside his cell in a high-security federal prison in Manhattan after he allegedly committed suicide.
In another email chain, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers asked, “Do the Russians have stuff on Trump? Today was appalling even by his standards.”
“My email is full with similar comments. wow,” replied Epstein. “Im sure his view is that it went super well. he thinks he has charmed his adversary.. Admittedly he has no idea of the symbolism. He has no idea of most things,” adding that the high-stakes summit between the two leaders was “predictable.”
The trove of emails will give the media weeks of material to work with as they work to erase the failure of the Democrat shutdown from public memory, but one that isn’t likely to get much attention is from New York Times Journalist Landon Thomas tipping Epstein off about people looking into him.

“He is digging around again – not clear if it’s another book/or expanded paperback version. Was asking me all sorts of questions about why you hired Ken Starr. I told him I had no idea – I think he is doing some Trump-related digging too,” Landon wrote in a September 27, 2017 email, giving Epstein the heads up that another journalist was asking questions.
If Democrats are lucky, the email could be the spark that reignites Russiagate, the debunked hoax deployed to undermine Trump during his first term that sought to frame him as being in cahoots with the Kremlin, setting the stage for their Soviet-style tribunals if they retake control of the House next November.
