Eric Bolling quickly rattles off Newsmax disclaimer accepting 2020 election results at end of Trump interview

A Newsmax host was forced on Wednesday to fact-check former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election claims.

Appearing on the network for an interview, Trump once again repeated the claim that he was the rightful winner of the 2020 presidential election.

“I believe I won that election by many, many votes,” he said.

While host Eric Bolling (formerly with Fox News) didn’t push back at the time, following the interview he released a statement with the fact-check.

“Alright, folks. Now, just a note. Newsmax has accepted the election results as legal and final,” he said.

Why was Bolling forced to issue the fact check? Because Newsmax is reportedly currently being sued by Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic over the way it covered the 2020 presidential election.

“Fox News, which faced a similar suit against Dominion, already settled for a massive $787.5 million. Just last month, it was reported that Smartmatic subpoenaed Newsmax staffers for their personal and work communications,” according to The Daily Beast.

“And in a court filing last week, Dominion asked to see all relevant correspondence between Newsmax employees and Trump administration officials following the 2020 election,” the far-left outlet noted.

That being said, Trump supporters were outraged by Bolling’s fact-check.

During the Newsmax interview, Trump made other controversial remarks.

For example, he accused the Jan. 6th House committee of having deleted and destroyed evidence that could have helped him in his legal cases.

“Everything was deleted and destroyed. The documents — everything — was deleted and destroyed. That’s a criminal act,” he said.

Trump also indicated that he’ll soon confirm whether or not he’ll be participating in the upcoming first 2024 GOP presidential primary debate on the 23rd, according to Newsweek.

“In the past, you said, ‘It’d be stupid to go to that debate, because I’m winning.’ You’re not going to that debate, are you?” Bolling said to him.

“I’ll let it be known next week,” Trump replied, adding that he has “already decided” and will be “announcing something next week.”

Continuing along, the former president also slammed current President Joe Biden as “corrupt” and called for congressional Republicans to impeach him ASAP.

“One of the reasons they [Biden administration] go after me is because the Republicans are going after them and going after them very, very powerfully,” he said.

“But something has to happen. I mean, it’s massive theft. It’s extortion. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it. This is the most corrupt human being. This is the most corrupt family. For these things to be happening, it’s not even believable,” he added.

Trump also pushed back on those Republicans who’ve seen “we have other things to worry about.”

“What could be more important than this?” he asked in confusion.

Regarding the endless indictments against him, Trump went in especially hard on the upcoming one from Georgia.

“Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is expected to seek more than a dozen indictments when she presents her case regarding efforts by Donald Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia before a grand jury next week,” CNN reported Wednesday.

“Willis, a Democrat, has been eyeing conspiracy and racketeering charges, which would allow her to bring a case against multiple defendants. Her wide-ranging criminal probe focuses on efforts to pressure election officials, the plot to put forward fake electors and a voting systems breach in rural Coffee County, Georgia,” the outlet added.

Trump wasn’t pleased by any of this.

“I don’t think the people of Georgia—where I did very well and I won it the first time and I won it, I think, by much more the second time, I can say that about the whole election, too—I don’t think they’d stand for it,” he said.
