Eric Trump cranks up heat on Secret Service director, says he‘s ‘pissed off’ for agents in line of fire

Eric Trump is still in shock after his father nearly had his head blown off in an assassination attempt and is “pissed off” that Secret Service agents could have also been killed.

He told Fox News Digital that someone needs to be held accountable, “The director of the Secret Service needs to be asked some really pointed, really hard questions because that cannot happen again. Whether it’s that local assets dropped the ball or an oversight, I don’t know. They need to get to the bottom of it because we’re better than this as a country.”

The Executive VP of the Trump Organization heard about his father’s near miss while sitting on the couch with his wife and children. The news hit the family hard.

Eric Trump is now demanding to know how Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to get up on that roof and position himself so close to former President Trump without being stopped before the shooting took place that grazed his father’s ear, killed a former firefighter, and wounded two other men.

“It’s unthinkable,” Eric Trump commented. “It can never, ever, ever happen again: somebody within 130 yards of the former president and likely the current president with a rifle.”

“U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle came under blistering criticism Tuesday after telling ABC News that law enforcement officers weren’t stationed on top of the building where the shooter took up position because a ‘sloped roof’ posed a safety risk to the agents. She said the assassination attempt was ‘unacceptable’ but has refused to resign,” Fox News reported.

Conservative radio host Dan Bongino stated the obvious on “The Dan Bongino Show” podcast, “The Secret Service director said, ‘Don’t worry, we didn’t put someone on the roof because it could’ve created a dangerous situation.’ Like what? Someone getting shot in the head?”

The former president’s son pointed out that Crooks had a direct line of sight to take his father out. Eric Trump is an experienced marksman himself and appreciates just how close his father came to dying that day.

“That’s the easiest shot you could ever make,” he stated. “I’m a competitive shooter. I’ve done that my entire life. That’s like Tiger Woods making a 3-inch putt, and it’s unthinkable that could have happened, and it’s by the grace of God that he’s alive.”

Eric Trump is focusing his anger on the lack of perimeter security, not on the actions of the Secret Service agents.

“The people on that stage were remarkable,” he asserted. “I know them personally, I know them as friends. They are amazing people, and they would have taken a bullet for him. What happened on the perimeter, that’s not their fault.”

Trump contended that the agents surrounding his father would have been concentrating on crowd members and any threats that were close to the stage. He believes that more distant threats should have been handled by the snipers and other law enforcement personnel.

“I will say that the people on that stage, I’m infuriated for them as well,” he remarked. “I mean, they could have all taken bullets. Every single one of those agents could have been dead as well. You had somebody 130 yards away, who was on an elevated position with a rifle. I’m pissed off for them as well.”

“It would have been the greatest stain on America,” Eric Trump contended. “There was divine intervention.”

He also mourned the death of Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief who threw his body over his wife and daughter, getting hit by a bullet and dying in the process.

“Devastating, beyond devastating,” Trump sadly stated. “There’s a guy who loved Trump, whose life is lost. We’ve never, ever had a problem at one of the rallies. They are the safest places.”

After his father survived the attempted assassination, Eric Trump noted that political momentum had drastically shifted in the former president’s favor. He posited that Trump’s return to the White House is now inevitable.

“The mood is incredible,” Eric Trump observed. “We are on the winning side of everything. You can just feel the pendulum has swung in such a large way. We’re going to win this on Nov. 5. There’s no question about that.”

The proud son praised his father for attending the Republican National Convention this week.

“I’m incredibly proud of him. He’s the toughest person I’ve ever met in my life,” Eric Trump claimed. “He is a remarkable man, and I think the entire country saw that this week.”
