FAFO alert: California professor arrested for allegedly throwing tear gas at ICE agents

Another day, another wacked out professor acting like an idiot while protesting for leftist causes.

Higher education and progressive ideals go hand-in-hand, and the current target of the left’s political hatred is Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Jonathan Anthony Caravello is a math professor at California State University Channel Islands, but he has also earned the title of arrestee after allegedly lobbing a canister of tear gas at federal agents during a raid on a cannabis farm. The farm was suspected of utilizing the labor of 14 children, which could result in charges relating to trafficking, exploitation and forced child labor.

And yeah, he looks like exactly the kind of person who would make himself the main character of a “peaceful protest.”

Despite the California Faculty Association (CFA) categorizing Caravello’s arrest as a “kidnapping,” U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli took to X to clear up the misinformation.

“Professor Jonathan Caravello was not ‘kidnapped’ by federal agents. He was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at law enforcement. He is charged with a violation of 18 USC 111 and will have a court appearance tomorrow,” he wrote on Sunday.

It seems that nobody is surprised that a professor associated with a California university would allegedly act like this:
