FAFO: Florida’s DOGE rebrand is guaranteed to trigger leftists

DOGE is all but done in Florida as Sunshine State leaders signal support for a new acronym that quickly received the corporate media seal of disapproval.

Over the weekend, the Republican Party of Florida met for its Red Florida Dinner, where, among other things, they honored President Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff Susie Wiles as 2025’s “Statesman of the Year.” During the festivities, Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia, formerly the state party chair, rolled out a FAFO acronym to replace the Department of Government Efficiency title that America’s Governor asserted “has a nice ring to it.”

Monday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) posted to X in response to Ingoglia, “Florida Agency for Fiscal Oversight has a nice ring to it — might need to work up an executive order and make it official.”

The reaction came as the recently minted CFO shared a snippet from a Politico article, stating, “We are unofficially changing the name of DOGE to….FAFO.”

As the article read, “Don’t say DOGEChief Financial Officer BLAISE INGOGLIA has begun raking through local government spending to look for waste — in a similar style to what ELON MUSK did with DOGE in DC. But Ingoglia says it’s time for a name overhaul. He’s now calling the effort the Florida Agency for Fiscal Oversight.”

“That’s right: FAFO. Ingoglia, a former state party chair, got a rave reception during the party’s weekend as he rolled out the new nickname and shared his principles for GOP success,” the excerpt continued.

Ingoglia also shared how corporate media was already spinning the cheeky new acronym with a claim of racist ties reported by CBS 12 in a story that read, “Just like how DOGE brings to mind Shiba Inus and cryptocurrency for many people online, FAFO has its own separate meaning on the Internet … However, that phrase, ‘F— Around and Find Out,’ was itself embraced by a racist, extremist group.”

“The Anti-Defamation League notes the Proud Boys use the phrase as a slogan ‘to suggest they are always prepared for a fight, and if a person confronts or messes with them, that person will be sorry,'” continued CBS 12 as the ADL definition added, “The phrase may also be used to a lesser degree by others in a different context.”

“According to the liberal media, FAFO is racist,” the CFO wrote with a facepalm emoji. “Dumb take of the day by Nick Viviani of @CBS12.”

Considering public opinion of corporate media that has beclowned itself time and again, selling talking points as news while kowtowing to select whims of political correctness, efforts to attempt to mar the nickname with bad press were laughed off while favor rained down on the Freedom State for both talking the talk and walking the walk when it came to conservative policies.
